Some friends of my sister (husband and wife) were badly burned in a house explosion a little over a week ago. The husband was burnt 55% over his body and the woman was burnt about 85% over her body. They were lighting their hot water tank in basement and the fire marshall believes it was caused from the propane. They have three children. Two of them were not home at the time, but the youngest was, but was not hurt. She was upstairs and was able to get out. These people need all the prayers they can get. Of course they are both still in critical condition. I just can't stop thinking about them. My heart goes out to their families. So could everyone just stop for a moment and say a little prayer for them. Thanks

Yes, I have her address. Not sure what she needs at the moment. I was shocked when she called to hear how bad it was and I wasn't thinking about asking her if she could use anything and she called from the cell phone and was afraid it would run out of juice soon and like I said earlier with the baby and other small children in the home she needs to be able to keep it charged somehow so we cut the conversation very short to the direct this is what is going on right now message, do you mind letting folks know thing to keep it a short as could be so as to NOT run the phone down. I will try calling her back later on in the AM to see if she needs anything at all. I hope I can get through. It is tough being so far away from people we know when things like this happen. So sorry they are having to deal with the unimaginable. I will keep Nate, Leslie and family in my prayers. My youngest son is a senior, and life is consumed with talk of prom right now. Hearing that Nate just wanted to attend prom...well...it brings me to tears that he cannot.

I don't know what else to say except Thank You for caring. We can't see any flames and the smoke in the area has decreased. Thank you all and please keep them coming! She is still in the hospital, and they may keep her for the next four months, but the prayers are working!!!! They took her off the IV yesterday, pain is back to a 2 and she is HUNGRY! That's a good thing. The dr was worried that the baby hadn't grown in the past week, but she told the dr what do you expect when I haven't eaten hardly anything? In the local hospital, before they transfered her to where her high risk dr is, they were only letting her have broth and jello. I was so thankful late last night when I got the email with updated info. I knew all the prayers from all of you were helping. Again, thanks and please continue the prayers. Tami

How heart breaking. It is a very long recovery for Burn Victems. I will certainly keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

I sure want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Where I live no one here knows these people and it is very hard to relate to some of the people in my community. People that I deal with every day are busy and just don't seem to care because it does not pertain to them. I am very touched that you all have taken a minute out of your time to do this and then come on here and post. I don't know any of you, but I already feel like I would like more people in my life just like all of you. I can not imagine what these two are going to have to endure in the months and years ahead. Sure will put their faith to the test. Will keep you posted as I learn more.
