Nighttime Leg Cramps

Deeby

Lately I'm afraid to go to sleep. I know to never tuck in the covers and to point my foot up toward my chest as soon as a cramp starts, but why am I getting them at all? I bought a potassium magnesium pill and take it an hour or so before bedtime. I can't have quinine. Here are my ailments: Hypertension, hypothyroidism, ostearthritis, gout, (the worst ailment in my opinion) and diabetes Type II. I'm 61. I've noticed that when I've been the most active during the day is when the cramps really strike. Today I worked so hard I felt hysterical, and when I tried to rest the dreaded rippling muscle thing happened and I shot up fast and got out of bed. What can help?
