Do you want to cook them together?

I have a great recipe for cole slaw, if not.

Thanks Glenda, but I am hoping to cook them together somehow, preferably in the slow cooker. It's too hot here to do it in the oven.

I usually cook ribs coated with a dry rub in the slow cooker all by themselves, (no liquid) on the ends of the bone if possible. This drains the fat.

At the end, I brush them with bbq sauce and broil to get a nice glaze.

We love sauteed cabbage, with carrots and onions.

I used to prepare lean ribs and saurkraut but I think cabbage would work.
Put peeled potatoes in the cooker, add ribs with just salt and pepper, then the shredded cabbage with about 1/4 cup of water and some caraway seed. When nearly done mix about a tablespoon of vinegar with the cabbage.

Thanks Seniorgal! I don't think I have time now to use the slow cooker, but I'll keep that idea for the next batch of ribs. I have more in the freezer.

I think what I'm going to do today, is put a dry rub on the ribs for the BBQ and while they are cooking, I'll do cabbage and potatoes, carrots, etc, in chicken stock on the side burner of the Q.

A guy at a celebration in (Orangeville? - somewhere in that area ... not far from you) had a 26 lb. cabbage, the other day.

You could get fat ...

Well ... maybe not ... unless accompanied by a *lot* o' ribs!
