My neighbor was doing that--flashlight on the headband, stalking around after dark, working in her garden with what time she could carve into her day/night. The kids were down, and there she was--working away in the dark. I was so amazed--someone more obsessed than I about her gardens. Kinda scary though, cause I was sitting on my deck in the center of our yard, all peaceful like--enjoying the silence and suddenly saw this light swoop up and down--like a HUGE firefly. I crept closer, to see this 'person' creeping around her yard!!!!! Then, the light bounced off the side of her house, and I could see it was her. I called out to her, asking her "Misty--what in the world ARE YOU DOING?" Then she explained! I am really loving having her next door!!! Did I mention, that I have hooked her with the hosta--addiction, now! It's bad, too!!! :o)

Has anyone ever made this with Splenda? I love sugar (and blueberries! and cream cheese!), but can't eat that much (I limit myself to less than 15 grams per meal, it's a digestion issue, not a diabetes issue). Based on my quick calculations, assuming 8 servings per pie, just the white sugar is 183 calories and 47 grams of sugar per slice. For comparison, when I make a deep dish apple pie I use 3/4-1 cup sugar. So, has anyone used Splenda or made this with less sugar?
