You probably don't want to fertilize from the get go. Let them acclimate and start putting out a new leaf. It does't hurt to get a soil test done. Then you know if your are fine for P, K, Mg etc. and can relax a little about fertilizer. I use 20-0-30 1/4 c once a month and will increase to 1/2 c next month. I have a namwah I planted in April and its growing well. I water about every third day unless its brutally hot (which it has been) and then I assess them in the evening. Good luck!

I can feel you on wanting the big reveal moment. Dh & I would talk about what our first meal will be from the new kitchen, however, once I got the wall oven in, I started to cook in it. Then the sink got hooked up, and I cooked more. Finally, the single induction burner I ordered arrived and I have been making dinners most nights. So much for having a special ribbon cutting ceremony and special "first" meal, lol. Then again, when we envisioned the first meal in our completed kitchen it was probably expected that it would be around the date I made the first meal in my wall-oven-only,-not-even-counters kitchen....sigh...

Shocking story, Anele, so I had to run find out more. :) It's very unfortunate that the doors will no longer fit, but otherwise it looks like it's all improvements. Shelves will be deeper. The Economist has a silly story saying this proves books are on their way out, that people don't buy them for books anymore, but when did they always, or even usually? Fact is, the shelves are currently reportedly 10.5" deep, and books have been getting larger for a long time. Too many of my books are deeper than that. Shelves will be stronger -- and that alone should indicate they still expect people to purchase them to hold books. Photographs tastefully interspersed among some tzotskies from Tuesday Morning don't need more strength. Being written about in The Economist does show what an icon this old friend is, though. Some things a more sensible article pointed out: "So why is IKEA changing the Billy? And how? The furniture giant says it isnâÂÂt messing with the classic Billy look but is making a few upgrades to improve the quality of its you-bolt-it bookcase line.
