| Not to be morbid but tonight just after midnight is the 43rd anniversary of the murder of Sharon Tate and 4 others by the Manson Family. Even though I wasn't born until 1975, it sends a chill down my spine to think of what the victims had to endure and the fear that swept through LA after that weekend. |

I remember that. I was pregnant with my last child. I used to work nights at a hospital about 25 miles from home and on the way home, I saw some hitch-hikers at the freeway entrance. One of them had the most piercing eyes.....he looked evil. When I saw a picture of Charles Manson in the paper I knew it was him I saw. I still get shivers thinking about it. |

| I'm originally from Northern CA and discovered after reading Helter Skelter, the book about Charles Manson and the murders back in the 70s that I went to jr high with one of his followers, Ruth Ann Moorehouse. She sat next to me in band. Jodi- |

| Eeeeeek, Carol! Yes, I remember that well. It was when that kind of thing never happened. Now we have gruesome and mass murders all the time. Sad. That incident was particularly horrific. |

| Scary indeed. I read both Helter Skelter and The Stranger Beside ME, when I was living alone... wrong choices! lol |

I remember, it was the year before I got married...I didn't know the world could be so vicious... and he's still alive... |

| I remember it well. Even though I was a native Californian, I was living in Arlington, VA at the time. I read Helter Skelter. |

| I was 7 years old, living in San Pedro CA. Thankfully, totally oblivious to it even though I used to watch the news. I don't recall "knowing" about the murders until I was a teenager and read Helter Skelter. |
