Hope everyone on the Gulf coast and area are prepared for the unknown that Isaac may bring to them in the next hours as it heads in your direction. Please double check your options beforehand, and try to let everyone know how you and your families are making out, sometimes the weather reports we all hear are so farfetched from the truth it isn't even funny anymore. Be safe and hunker down as they say.

We just had the first band of the outer edge of the storm go through. We aren't expecting any really terrible storms here, but will likely get about 5" of rain, for which we will be grateful. I'm keepng our KT friends in AL, MS and LA in my thoughts. Hope they are all prepared for wherever Isaac decides to land.

I just heard that it's headed in a straight line towards New Orleans, which means we will get the wind and rain here in Panama City, Fl., but not the 75 m.p.h. straight-line winds and sea surges that had been predicted - thank you, LORD! I have everything as secured as I can, but have not put up the hurricane shutters YET - will wait until tomorrow afternoon to see what develops. If there is a warning from our Tallahassee weather center, then I'll get them up. I am praying for all of the folks on the NW side of Florida - GOD be with all of us!

Just glad I'm not cruising! Looked at the weather outlook and looks like the bad days are the end of next week.

We will be leaving Louisiana in the morning but it is looking bad right now here, big storm brewing. My nephew is in charge of organizing the evacuations of the offshore drilling rigs and deep water platforms, he has busy all day today scrambling to get them scheduled for departure quickly. I am hoping it just loses force before it hits.
