Thanks everyone for all the happy wishes. So far it's been a great day. Didn't have a hole in one Glenda, but did have a great day on the course. The weather was beautiful, my game was really good and my team won. Played with 11 lady friends in our playaway group. We're headed out for dinner tonight and I'm looking forward to that. I came home to the cutest flower basket sitting on my front porch. Pretty lavender flowers topped off with a little white dog made out of mums...looks just like Georgy. It's just adorable. Thank you all for your birthday wishes. Yes, I did play golf today (not well). I really shouldn't have tried. Pulled a muscle in my back on Sunday on the 11th hole and continued to play the final seven because I had a good game going. Notice I said had. The back nine was 9 strokes higher than the front nine but it was still good enough to be runner up in my flight for the Club Championship. Couldn't finish out today because the back was bothering me and will now probably take the rest of the week off and allow it to heal. Too soon old, too late smart! We were going to go to my favorite restaurant tonight but I would rather wait until I'm not in pain.

Sorry that you're having problems with the back, Georgysmom ... but hope it's back in good shape soon.

And whether you choose to go out for dinner today ... or wait until after your discomfort is alleviated ... I hope that it's a happy time.

Despite all the back problems, I really did have a great day. Stayed for lunch after golf even though I was hurting. One of the ladies had a hole-in-one last week and was buying everyone a drink today to celebrateÃ¢ÂÂ¦..it's tradition.

I was splitting a sandwich with a friend today and she insisted on picking up the bill. although we didn't go to the fancy restaurant we were planning on, it was obvious that DH was disappointed we were not going out, so I got out of my nighties and put on some slacks and a pretty top and off we went for Chinese. So glad I forced myself. I tried a new dish, whole fish flash fried and served with pine nuts and sweet and sour sauce. It was delicious. Even DH thought it was outstanding and he doesn't like fish! Thanks, again for all the good wishes.
