Yesterday my son and DIL and I canoed a 4 hour stretch of the Cannon River in Southeast Minn. This is a soft shell turtle we spotted along the way.

Omigosh, Mio's gotten so big! How adorable she is!! Are the kids bilingual? That would be good.

Yes, both kids are bilingual. Jake is reading Japanese now, too.
Jake just turned six and will start first grade and Mio is 3 1/2. They return to the US in ten days. All summer in Japan.
