HINT on checking out subjects with a lot of replies

I click on the subject and when it opens I hold down the "Page down" key on my compuyer after few seconds I'm at t\the end and can read the most current post

Or you could use the "End" key.

i got one for xmas in fl and i decided to keep it to see if it'll rebloom for summer. i have another short-day length plant that i rebloomed successfully sev times: begonia reiger. so i figured why not try ? it has produced new colored bracts for me in march (2 clusters) - i kept some of the older ones (4 total) to keep it going like ronalawn advised in prior post in 2012. it is still developing new flower buds. am waiting to see if those will color up. i did not give it any 'dark treatment'. it self-branches quite nicely. i still have sev older branches with pink bracts doing well and growing new colored bracts. and the way it goes - i think i will get re-bloom in the fall: my xmas cactus and begonia reiger (both short-day bloomers) rebloom in the same position west window without special dark treatment, just natural nights. even though i do get some street light. PINK>>>> Has been hard for me to get too. I can get medium to darker pink, but baby pink is always yellow or melon for me, not pink. I got "Treasure of Love" this Spring and she's just nearly a baby pink but a little bit too dark to say BABY PINK. I love her though. I also got "Spc Cotton Candy" that shows pink in the sellers pictures, but is a very peachy melon for me. Belle Cook finally opened up about 4PM yesterday and she's a pretty pink but again, not quite what I wanted. I guess I better be happy, next year they will probably all be peachy melon colors! I will not give up. I have been using Epson's Salt for 2 years and hope to see some improvement on mine in the garden when they start blooming. I'm glad the Ebay person ended their auction. Neither I nor anyone else suggested that, Glenda. In fact, I was careful to say I didn't want to criticize. With that in mind, Suzieque's post was well said. I don't recall seeing the "Pet Peeves" thread, but I'll hazard a guess that some of the things that annoy some people are not a source of annoyance to others. And, as Suzieque said, most annoyances are not big things. But of course that doesn't stop them from being annoying . . . to some. I guarantee that those of us who do find those teaser subject lines annoying (just annoying, mind you--we're not tearing out our hair or spiking our blood pressure or making demands) have plenty of small stuff that we don't sweat. And I'm pretty certain that those who claim to have learned not to react to little things have something (some small thing) they find irritating as hell.

This is a common SPAM with a new twist. These types of things appear on discussion boards all the time.........Some one is givng away an expensive item (iPod, xBox) then suddenly the item is no longer available because it has been "given" to a friend/charity whatever, but the person sends you to a website to register to get one "for free" by jumping through hoops, usually by having to sign up for aol, magazine subscriptions or buying something, AND getting 200 other people to sign up also under your screen name so you get the credit for their enrollment. People are then encouraged to cancel memberships or send the item back, but still get the credit for signing them up and the credit going toward your new iPod/xBox or whatever. This is known as the *conga line*. There are whole discussion boards devoted to conga line recruitment telling people how to do it and tips on luring people into it. There are many variations of this SPAM to lure people into this. Report it.

Clicking on "post a follow-up" will take you to the end, as well.

"End" and "Home" will take you to the bottom or top of any web page. I use it religiously.

I read all the comments of the posts, and when there are new ones, I go to Post a comment, to read up to the latest.

Agree with Jasdip, no need to reread everything or scroll when there is a new comment, I use 'post a comment' and scroll up as well.

I hit "end" and scroll back up to the last post I read and go down from there.

I put my cursor on the side bar and drag it down. That lets me control the speed and I can stop and start.

If I jumped directly to the bottom (last post) of this one, I would miss all the comments in between. Why would I NOT want to read all the discussion/ideas? What's the hurry.

Deeby, thanks for the tip about the space bar. I tried it and it worked great.

I have a Mac and I don't see and End or Home key, but the space bar will do the trick.

I have often wanted something like that for when I check back on a thread and it has lots of replies that I've already read.
