husbands reunion

My husband and I were sitting at a table at his high school
reunion, and he kept staring at a drunken woman swigging her
drink as she sat alone at a nearby table.

I asked him, "Do you know her?"
"Yes", he sighed,
"She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking
right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she
hasn't been sober since."

"My God!" I said, "Who would think a person could go on
celebrating that long?"

And then the fight started...

Thistledew, you are a sneaky one! Thanks for my first laugh of the day.

Maybe we should talk about whether it's good or bad to attend a spouse's reunions... MEGO at DH's HS events, and he doesn't go to his university reunions.
