You might want to look into AND as well as DNR. Many hospices welcome advance discussion with patient and family about further specific options. (I think of this due to my recent posts about defining "A Natural Death" for myself.)

Happy for the update, but, sad for the inevitable. I wish the rest of your days full of rest, smiles, hugs, and love. No one deserves to live in pain to the point that they are no longer really living. Angel wings will be your newest accessory and I'm sure you will wear them well when the time comes.

Like hilltop, I don't come here often, but I opened your thread today recognizing your name, having no idea just what I'd find about your hospital stay. I'm so very sorry that I didn't come her more often so I too could have known your humor and kindness like so many others have.

A Promise from our Heavenly Father:

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we shall be changed and this perishable body must put on the imperishable and this mortal body put on immortality. Then shall come true what is written in Scripture "Death is swallowed up by victory.

Those verses are for comfort so that you will know what happens when the Lord decides to take you home, but until then I am continuing to pray for your healing until I hear otherwise.
