Last year I had two squash seedlings come up in a space. I though I only planted one but thought maybe I put two in somehow.. This was a reboot from a squash vine borer attack. I pulled one seedling while the other was racing to finish the end of the season. At least I will have something I thought. What I ended up with is a zucchini/butternut cross. Nothing went right with squash. This was the first year in that garden so I am still confused by what happened. I did not figure the squash could seed from the same year especially consider how few fruit I had.

Does anyone else have dreams where your conscious and unconscious (sleeping) minds collude? I've had for years and years, a dream where I've got to pee really, really badly but I can't find a "public" restroom clean enough for my prissy self. It's kind of like during family vacations when I was a kid the only bathrooms were in gas stations and they were beyond gross. Invariably I wake up and have to pee like a race horse. I don't have this dream often, at most once a year, but it's always the same and I always wake up needing to pee. Last night I had a dream where a hand reached out of the clouds and was going to grab me and I thought pull me up into the clouds. But my conscious mind got involved and said "look chickie, you ain't dying and it's supposed to be heading towards the light, not getting strangled by your shirt collar". Then, while still sleeping, I had this argument with myself over why I was having such a dream when I'm not overly religious but "just in case", don't head toward the light, you have things to do today. I don't recall what lead up to the "hand" reaching out to get me, or why. I don't know what I should quit doing, but I have some amusing dreams.

If so, it's kind of sad. It also explains why your followup deals nearly exclusively with the nudity instead of the valid problems. "he's just too old to be seeing his mom naked." While you have every right to feel that way, you don't have any right to expect a say in it. You're not his mother. There are no studies that demonstrate that children are harmed by parental nudity. There are more households than you realize that have a casual, relaxed attitude about nudity. "he's always tried to check out my goods, and has succeeded at times. he's always been very curious as to what i look like since he's sees his mom on a daily basis. when he lived with us we tried to teach him about privacy. knock before you go into the bathroom, shut the door to your bedroom when your changing, things like that. he seemed to have lost interest in trying to sneak a peek at me. but it has returned since he's been back with mom." Of course I have no idea what his actions are, but what you call his trying to "check out your goods", might simply be him wanting to be with you. You said you had a great relationship; maybe he just doesn't realize the importance privacy is to you. At 8 years old, he certainly should be able to understand that there are different rules as far as modesty at the the two households. Maybe he just needs more reinforcement as to what's expected at your place. Of the issues you mentioned in your initial post, the boyfriends showering with him and the hurtful things she says to him seem to be the real issues. The boyfriends showering with him 'could' be innocent, but the fact that the boyfriends are staying overnight or living there isn't the healthiest thing for the boy to experience. As far as the hurtful things the mom says, well, that's just horrible. That's got to hurt. "what should he do to get his son out of his wierd mothers home????" Has he asked the mom if he could live with the two of you? Maybe he could give her a little financial incentive. What does the boy want? He's at the age where, barring abuse or other such factors, the courts will take his wishes into consideration (if your custody issue gets to the court stage). Good luck, Joe

Glass isn't going to crack due to a light piece of cardboard lying against it. My theory is that solar storms, which have been very active lately, caused an increase in the hyper and hiper-frequency range of radiation. This cause huge spikes in not only the delta but also the alpha frequencies. Glass is normally very stable under normal cosmic bombardment. However on this day, the huge spiking caused the radiation to pass through the glass and instead of reflecting back into a less dense atmosphreric vortex, the cardboard cause a build up and the glass molecules became unstable causing the glass to break.. This is obviously a case of a glass manufacture ignoring peer reviewed technology, readily available for the asking and IMO shows almost a complete contempt for consumer safety. What would have happened if a child had been close and the cardboard not muted the effects? We would be talking about more than just a mere glass fracture. This demonstrates a very high level of disregard for common public safety and as such a lawsuit should be certain. Let us know how it works out.
