Sharon I agree that it sounds like a great idea. Here is another one you can consider...safety pins. Our mattress is a tempur-pedic and so heavy I couln't possibly lift it even with my husbands help, but I can life the edge enough to slide the bedskirt under the edge and I pin it to a sheet that I had put there....I like to change the bed covers often and this is so easy to do and makes changing the bedskirt so easy. I bought my bedskirts but I just trim all but about six inches of the center part out and leave just a border around the bedskirt and tuck it under the mattress and pin it in place. I buy big pins and it doesn't take many to hold it in place.

We don't have thread police. You'll probably get a lot more answers. Additionally, you can choose to have one thread show both here in Cooking and also in Appliances, which might be useful. My opinion, and it's opinion only, is that while the old Hobarts were superior machines, they're only good buys if you know how to recondition and service them well (or want to learn and know where to get help). Second hand on new-ish ones from someone whose habits you know and approve of is fine. Or barely used in the box with all its accessories. Otherwise, you're taking on someone else's problems. You might also get a good deal, with a warranty on "scratch and dent", open box, display models, etc. Just don't go for a "demonstrator", which will likely have heavy use. If you frequently have uses that require a heavier duty mixer than your Artisan, getting a stronger mixer makes sense. I can't figure out from your post whether it was the meat that was partly frozen or if the mixer froze while mixing the meat. The Artisan is great for normal baking chores, including lighter breads, but it's not quite there for heavier breads without reducing the batch or other compromises. The meat might just be too much for the model, especially if there wasn't much liquid in the mix. I don't like to use the mixer for meat anyway. It gets too dense from that much handling, so I go old fashioned, put on food handling disposable gloves, and use my hands (I wonder if there's a better way to mix the meat than with the flat paddle?). I can't advise you about models. Do consider starting your own thread.

I agree Chisue. Childhood is fleeting. DD is a stay at home mom and is determined to keep the child in childhood. She actually cried when she made the decision to put DGD in for 4 half days. Not because she would miss her but because it meant dropping an activity. She told me she refused to be that mother (her words) who micromanaged every moment of her child's day with structured activity. It's been our experience that DGD is really advanced (compared to her traditionally schooled friends) in so many areas because academics are not stressed in her life. She's read to, she prints the alphabet, writes her name, and she knows her numbers, colors, is starting phonics based reading etc. but she learns mostly through play and activities with mom and dad. She bakes and does all the steps herself with mom's guidance. (math, reading, science, motor skills) They do crafts together and she likes to do it "herself" with little help and her parents encourage this,. She recently made turkey candy pops to pass out to her friends at preschool. She helps dad wrench on the current restoration car. Puts on puppet shows and makes up dance routines. Goes to craft days and meet-ups with mommy groups and home schoolers. Little bro is following right behind in her footsteps. She learns a lot by teaching him skills. She has a lot of time spent at the local parks and meet ups with kids from all cultures and ages. I guess her days are full of spice. We call that learning.

Look at Amazon, when people get free products for example, they must disclose as this tends to create inflated ratings. Nice tomato plants ... certainly don't appear to be 35 pounds per plant.
