BBQ chicken,spelt risotto, green beans with almonds.

I just got back from my golf trip. We had a late lunch so I will probably just have some watermelon later.
For lunch I had a soft shell crab sandwich which came with bacon, tomato and lettuce. I prefer to just enjoy a plain soft shell crab so I took it off the sandwich and ate it like that, asked for some mayo and made a BLT with the remaining sandwich. It was yummy. Haven't had bacon in six months so it was a real treat.

Usually not here if its sunny, but too cool at the beach. Weeded instead after work. So much easier to pull weeds when the soil is bone dry. Good choice too, weekly yard waste pickup is tomorrow, Late start for Happy Hour. Looks like sweet corn, sliced tomato, and a lettuce salad drenched in bleu cheese dressing. Probably ice cream sooner than later.

Shirley, our weather is very similar, and today was nice, wasn't it? Your meal is nice and comforting. I couldn't imagine not having leftovers, or living with someone who doesn't like them. I know people like that, and it's a fresh meal every nite. Jim, how nice having tomatoes and green beans from the garden. Our tomatoes aren't even ripening yet. The landlords gave us a bunch of pole beans, which are long and flat and they went into the soup the other day. They were really good. Raven, was your dinner as good as it sounds?? Do tell. Pam, pizza is good anytime but I'm sure even more so, with your grandson Georgy ravioli with your marinara sauce would be awesome! Rhizo, hubby loves ordering BLT's for breakfast when we go out. Angela, I'll take my cool summer over your heat any day! But a chicken salad is perfect. OF, you must finally be happy! You got some summer temperatures. And you still put the oven on! :)

Deeby, I cooked a large ham in my stock pot with green beans and potatoes. We love that all simmered together. Kittie, a pot pie sounds wonderful. Did you make it from scratch? Angela, at least you offset the cheese toast with an artichoke! LOL OF, I know that Buffalo stadium was looking for about 500 people to shovel in time for the Bills Game. But they recanted that tonite and cancelled the game. Phyllis, you and Old Fixer were on the same wave-length with your lasagnas. Pam, we love roast chicken, and I always make broth from the roasted bones. Haven't attempted soup yet, though. Shirley, our landlords do appreciate us. They tell us that, and they share their bounty from their garden with us, and let us use part of it to plant whatever we wanted. Shirley you eat so well. Very healthy, and an apple to boot.

Mimipadv......we always find that the pineapples get sweeter when we leave them on the counter for a couple of days. When they start to smell like a pineapple we cut it open. Your pork chop dinner sounds delicious. It was cold enough that I was wanting a beef roast. Party, today was definitely chili weather in your area and ours (and Gadgets') Pam what a treat, having filet mignon!! Good for you! Rhizo, I have the urge for quinoa tabbuleh and your dinner confirmed my taste buds wanting that. That's a summer dish for me. Gadgets your chicken and potato wedges sounds good to me too!

Well, I woke up this morning and hubby had 2 pounds of ground beef and 1 pound of sausage thawing in the refrigerator. Cans of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and tomato paste were on the kitchen counter next to the stove. I took a guess that was a pretty good hint that he was ready for another big pot of spaghetti sauce. We had a huge shrimp salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread.

Old Fixer, I find that the weeds are terrible to pull when the soil is bone dry. I usually leave the root in the soil. :(

Fun, I smiled when I read what your dinner was. Did you pop it on the stove, or microwave?

We had chili from the freezer. I like mine over rice with a dollop of yogurt to tame the heat.

I made beef barley soup today, so had a bowl of that along with a piece of salmon that I seasoned with creole seasoning. I got it a little 'hot' but ate it anyway.

I wanted something with noodles and cream sauce and my only option without going to the store was tuna fish from the pantry. I sauteed some onions and mushrooms and made my version of tuna casserole! I picked some beans to steam, too.

I fixed chicken & Dumplins for dinner. We are celebrating my son Sam getting his first job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Condiments and snacks for dinnerÃ¢ÂÂ¦.I like it! But, some yummy normal dinners too.

Congratulations are in order! Let's all raise a glass to Sam, on landing his first job.
So exciting. I know he worked hard to get where he is and deserves this opportunity. Laura, I know how proud you must feel.
