Chicken tempura, pork and beans, frozen French fries and green salad. I am not excited.

Not sure yet. DH just called and said he had a sore throat and was heading to the walk-in.
I was planning salad with turkey, but may hold off as Dh wants soup.
Jasdip, how do you make your asian cole slaw? I just made sesame broccoli for my DD. Equal parts of sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey. Toast sesame seeds and combine. It's supposed to marinate at room temp for 30 minute to 2 hours but we ate it after 15 minutes.

We are having red sauce and angel hair pasta with salad & garlic bread...We are tired of grilled things..

It's rained lightly off/on here in Ohio. Supposed to be chances of more tomorrow plus severe stuff. They can keep it all as far as I'm concerned.

I had Bulgar Casserole and a salad tonight.

Hi Ellen,
It's shredded napa cabbage and onion.
You crush ramen noodles (throw out the seasoning package) and brown with sliced almonds and sesame seeds.
The dressing is oil, sugar, vinegar and soy sauce.
The salad is addicting to us!

A few showers this morning so I went to the thrift store and bought 4 tops and a light rain coat - great deals!

After lunch I hiked the Signal Hill trail, did a load of laundry, vacuumed and got the garbage & recyclables ready for tomorrow's pickup.

Supper was planked salmon, roasted mini potatoes, asparagus and broccoli. Yummy!!

jasdip, my Dad loved that Asian salad and made it the same as you!

Rain on and off all day here too. I've been doing all the cooking lately, so my BF is making chili and a garden salad for us for dinner tonight. :)

St. Louis style ribs on the grill and potato salad. I make my potato salad a bit spicy (Spanish paprika), so I added white chocolate pudding.

Made a marinade with sesame oil, peanut oil, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, minced ginger, etc., and put a hunk of salmon in earlier this afternoon.

He's grilling it in the fish basket and I've got some rice and mixed grains ready and some yummy sauteed baby pattypan and zucchini.

The slaw sounds delish!

We are having chicken marsala over polenta and a tossed green salad with balsamic.

Since I was tired from working in the garden today, I just had a leftover chicken breast, cottage cheese and a glass of milk. The chickens are in earlier for a change, so now I can go to bed. There was no rain to speak of today, just a few sprinkles. Overcast and breezy most of the day.

I have never had chicken marsala, I keep saying I'm going to, but I forget about it. I'm assuming you use a dry marsala, Matti?

OldFixer, always nice to have a job where you can skip out to seek the sun! I'm laughing about the rum cake every night.... you made it, right? Is it the kind that's like a pound cake soaked with a sugar-rum glaze, or is it the Italian version with a yellow cake split into many layers and filled with various pudding/fruit/rum mixes, or is it something else entirely?

Waldorf salad....isn't that with apples, sour cream, walnuts, and maybe grapes? If that's what I'm thinking of, that does sound good!

Nothing for dinner here. Had a late T-time and followed it with a very late lunchâ¦.chicken quesadilla. Had to go out and play Mexican train tonight. Didn't even get to at my leftover brunch food.

Jasdip, chicken marsala is very easy to make. Right up there with chicken picata.

The rum cake is just a yellow cake w/pudding mix, chopped walnuts on top, 1/2 cup of rum in the batter. Then soaked with the rum glaze, another 1/2 cup.

LOL jasdip - I like those mini potatoes, only 80 calories in 5 and since I slice them in half it's like eating 10. But I only eat them maybe twice a month.

jasdip, I like the version of Waldorf Salad that uses apples, walnuts, celery, and slightly sweetened whipped heavy cream! yum!!! :)
