No rain today, but we are expecting some storms later tonight. For dinner we are having chili dogs and either fries or chips. Summer fare for a summer day.

lots of rain today. Had to cancel a golf date. It is now sunny and muggy. We will have steak, potatoes and green beans.

Breakfast for dinner tonight. Bacon and eggs!

Beautiful day here too, low temperature in upper 60's and some breeze.

My meal this evening is bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich.

Quite miserable today in Indiana, may have hit 70ð. Almost changed the menu to hot soup, but continued on with stir fry which only takes 15 minutes. Still got a nice slab of that tart cherry pie, but not for long.

A tamale and a real Coke, the ones with cane sugar made in Mexico, over ice, in a retro Coke glass-sheer bliss !

Shrimp Fried Rice. Not as good as mine, but something in my tummy.

We are having smoked pork chops with sliced garden fresh tomatoes and steamed cauliflower.

Gorgeous day again today.

Pork chops with a side of quinoa, black beans, corn, tomatoes, kale, onions and spices all mixed together.

I picked the end of the rhubarb yesterday..., it keeps growing with rain and warm weather.

I made a rhubarb pie and froze the rest.

Ummm....Broiled Trout with fried apples and biscuits... at Cracker Barrel.

The rains are done for now! The morning paper indicated 13+ inches since June 1! Down to the low 50s at night and not much above 70 during the day. Wonderful.

When we retired, we made a main meal the mid-day meal. However, you asked about this evening. Mahi-mahi, fresh corn on the cob and the few beans that I picked this morning.

Glenda: I still haven't found pork chops on sale. As soon as they are, I'm having them for a meal.

Laura: I hope you don't have severe weather. Chile (coney) dogs are my favorite.

Pam: Steak would always hit the spot for me.

ghoghunter: The only time I get breakfast foods is for another meal. I eat leftover 'regular' food for breakfast. I love bacon and eggs.

Sue: BLT. I have the B but not the L or the T. Wish I did.

Old Fixer: I love the 70s. I eat soups year round... no matter the temps. Are you putting ice cream on that pie?

I worked late and didn't make dinner preparations last night. DH and I met at a local restaurant and had Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and strawberry cake. Diet officially blown for today; will do better tomorrow.

I made a big loaded salad....sliced zucchini, rat's tail radish, garbanzo beans, chard, spring greens, cukes, tomatoes, toasted almonds, and leftover bacon from last night. Much of it came straight from the garden.

Robert put his in a flour tortilla.....which is what I'll do for tomorrow's lunch.
