The Westboro church is planning on picketing Sage Stallone's funeral. That makes my blood boil! I don't see how these people can call themselves Christians.

Yes those people are full of hate. I've heard that hate can rot you from the inside and that's what looks like is happening. I really cannot understand how people can act like that.

gee that's the only reason they came up with? not for sly playing a military hero in the movies? maybe they'll run into the roadblocks they did here, when trying to picket the mosque in dearborne mi...

if the family uses forest lawn for their ds, both locations can't be entered into during special funerals...so the closest they'd get, would be the street...

Did you see the recent story about a Texas A&M alum, a serviceman, who died (killed by another soldier) at Fort Bragg. When Westboro indicated that they would be picketing the funeral, a current student at Texas A&M got the idea to form a human wall around the church where the funeral was being performed. One estimate says students and alums showed up. Westboro didn't.

I agree that these people are not Christians, sounds more like some kind of hate cult that thrives on attention from the news media. I have no idea what their goal is. I read the story about the Texas A&M students forming a human wall, it's awesome! There's also a motorcycle group called Patriot Guard who have surrounded some soldier's funerals to keep Westboro out.

Patriot Guard, there are lots on utube this is just one. Thank God for them. No family should have to go through this.

I just wish the media would quit giving the craved attention to all these nutcase religious groups. For that matter there's a number of others who shouldn't get the attention either.

That's the thing cynic. If they didn't splash it all over the tv, radio, internet, this group would probably, hopefully go the way of the dinosaur.

I've asked before, where do these people get their money to travel all over the country to picket funerals? Don't any of them work? If so, they can all get the exact same time off, everytime they need it?

I've heard other comments about they purposely goad and torment people then if anything is done to them they sue the people.

Nice way to get your income a$$holes.

They better never come to my town or church.
