I always wear men's tee shirts in the garden & for sleepwear.

I've been scrounging the estate sales & the little thrift store here in town, but last week I found out that the Salvation Army thrift store in Dallas has a "half-price sale" every week on the clothes that have been there the longest.

I got 5 big nice tee shirts for $1 each-
a whole new wardrobe!

I have to wear long-sleeve shirts while gardening. I get contact dermatitis on my forearms. The rest of my body can be naked, but I gotta cover my arms.

Jim, I'm trying to visualize. That would be an interesting outfit, kind of like a gardening gypsy rose lee in opera length gloves. might have to be set to music to appreciate it.

Men's tees too long on me. I have some boxy shorter full cut women's tee's that I'll garden and paint in, they are getting pretty shabby. Think the brand was Fresh Produce.

heck i'm even buying them for everyday wear...lots of colors but more important? they're not as thin as tissue paper from the ladies dept....

I don't like t-shirts at all. They make my fat short body look like box. :( And those tissue paper thin ones in the ladies dept.....make me look like a sausage with casing!

I bought some on Ebay made by the Gildan Company (got some of them in pink, grey and black so they have all sorts of colors). Nice thick cotton and well made.

I prefer a polo to a tee but do have tee shirts. I buy in the women's departments of such places as LL Bean or J Crew. They aren't at all thin, flimsy, or poorly made.

I have tried on mens tshirts, but I cannot stand anything up around my meck like that. Womens t's are cut lower. I have cut a v out of the neck of mens so I can wearr them.

I like wearing men's tees around the house and for gardening. I get some of mine at Goodwill.

I wear men's t-shirts with pj bottoms that are either woman's or men's for sleeping. I wore nighties for years and now I'm more comfortable. You all are right about ladies tees being thin and usually not sturdy.

I am small and thin, and men's Tshirts are too long for me, so I search for women's Tshirts that are of a good weight of cotton and buy them in large or extra large, with V necks for sleeping. I like to wear them with pj bottoms for comfort, and I found that men's small pj bottoms are a good fit for me.

I buy mens all the time too...Did you know you can order them from Hanes directly...you can also order them from places like Jiffy Shirts...I just bought 6 at the dollar store for a dollar each...not for the shirt because I bought the largest sizes they had...1 xg for my DH and the rest were 2x's and 3x's..I just bought them for the fabric...they were nice t's...

The main reason I like to buy men's t's though is the reason mentioned earlier...the quality of the fabric is better. heavier...expecially on golf type T's...holy mackrel,,the difference is so amazing..

And...once those shirts have been worn for a long time, they make great window washing rags.

or you can cut off the sleeves & sew the armholes & neck closed & stuff the shirt with batting or old nylons & sew the bottom shut & voila!
pet bed.

You can put an old towel over it if you don't like the way it looks.

Hubby buys his t-shirts from Costco......Kirkland, in packages of 4 but they only have black and white. But the quality is fantastic.

We've looked at t-shirts at stores, but they are thin material, just like ours. Walmart's George brand is a joke! We wish they hadn't gotten rid of Penmans......they wore forever....both men and women's jeans and tops.

I'd love to find some nice quality colourful men's t-shirts. And no pocket, as well.

Ruthie, you mentioned the golf style t-shirts. Do you buy men's polo/golf shirts? That's all hubby wears.

I had $40 in Kohls cash the other day and so Lauren and I went shopping for shirts. I couldn't find a men's or women's to fit me right. The men's t-shirts are being made out of the same thin junk they make women's t-shirts and shirts out of. I ended up getting a nightgown. I thought for sure I'd find a good sturdy t-shirt in the men's section but nope. Last t-shirt I bought was at wal-mart. A men's baseball t-shirt, 100% cotton and with actual sleeves. All women's t-shirts have stupid little cap sleeves these days. No one wants to see my flabby upper arms, not even me.

I never wear tee shirts and my husband does not wear them either. I don't know as I have ever worn one in my life. They don't appeal to me.

This past year, and I see they have them again this year, I found v neck men's Tshirts are WM for about five dollars each. I liked the colors better last year, but the v is nice because it doesn't show cleavage.
