Did you watch... Married at first sight?

What did you think? I liked it and plan to watch again. I felt sorry for the first girl but I think its a good match.
Would you do it?

I think they should have made the match then let them date awhile to see if they were suited before marrying them off.

Do you think they will go through with it now?

Nope. Did not take much of a honeymoon trip. We married on a holiday weekend (to get the extra day). Traveled about 100 miles away from the wedding site and stayed our first night together in a small hotel. Used the next day to take a leisurely drive back to our first apartment, and on the third day, set up our living quarters. I had started a new job fresh out of college 3 months prior ot the wedding was was due back on the job the next day following the 3 day weekend. My wife had one more year of college and she was busy registering for classes. We lived on ahoestring that first year. My wife graduated the next year and things began to look up economically. But her first year of work was an internship (required for state certification) that did not pay well. Two years later, we started our family and thankfully by then, my job had begun to pay better - enough to support us and new baby. Since that first year, we have taken a sight-seeing trip almost every year for vacation for the next 30 years. We still take trips, but the focus has broadened because we have seen many of the scenic places that were on our list.

I watched and find it kind of interesting. I felt awful for guy whose bride did not like him at first. He is such a patient and sweet guy. Fun to watch their relationship evolving and her feelings changing. The EMT and make-up artist couple are cute together, but I think their schedules will be a challenge. The third couple I don't see lasting.

I agree, I don't think the cooking lesson is what this couple truly needed to work on. They have no problem connecting on a sexual level. Although maybe the experts felt there is no emotional connection, only a physical one and the cooking class would help them communicate desires and needs. I thought last weeks exercise with the fish bowl questions touched on that subject, but maybe I am wrong. I hope that Jason lets Courtney meet his mom. I think it's important that he share this with her, it obviously hurts her and not all for selfish reasons. Courtney could be such a great source of support for both he and his mom. If I were his mom I would want to meet Courtney. Given that I only had little time left, I think it would be important to not only know my son is happy, but to see the connection for myself. I do see the flip side as well in that Jason is very protective of his mom. I was really proud of Jamie for sharing the painful part of her life with Doug. He is so supportive and caring. Doug's mom isn't so guarded, so I was happy to see that. Given that is was only 3 weeks since the marriage I think most the friends and families of these couples are quite supportive. The upcoming episode looks to be more drama for Monet and Vaughn. No surprise there!

I watched the very first Married at First Sight. It was interesting because these three original couples had not idea about the concept. I really never kept up with the couples that followed, although I did hear that one woman needed a restraining order. I have seen the latest three couples, but I haven't been following. I might google to see if they had the finale and to see who decided to stay together. Two fo the men are only 26. I think this is a bit young to do this time of arrangement. What actually happens on the second chance show?

It amazes me what people will do to be on television. Joann, do they explain why the participants feel with this odd arrangement?

I can see someone who is really so unlucky, many break ups maybe a few divorces, so why not try this? Nothing left to lose.

But for the average person, this just seems weird.

Years ago there was a show," Who wants to marry a millionaire?" The women didn't get to see the millionaire until he chose his bride. They did get married but of course it went downhill with the bride realizing her mistake. They were divorced as soon as they got back from the honeymoon.

They didn't explain why yet, that will be in the next show.

I think they did feel like this was a last resort since they were not having any luck in the real world. They were very nice looking people in their 20-30's.

Our world has changed so much its very difficult to meet anyone and online dating is the pits, so why wouldn't they try this and let someone else do all the work finding their perfect match. I do hope it works out for them.

I had not heard about this show, but now I am curious to watch. I don't usually like shows like the bachelor, but ones like this have me curious as to why people makes such decisions.

ellendi ........... right, all those shows are quite obnoxiously humerous. Paid to fall in love. Not my kind of humor.
