That's cool... we'll use the thread as a place to converse and share pictures, like Josh's B-day thread. No sense in letting good space go to waste, right?! Well... we had lunch in town for my Birthday... I had a 6 oz. sirloin, rare... baked potato with sour cream... salad with bleu cheese dressing... and we had cheesecake for dessert. It was nice! Then, we picked up a few items we needed at the store, like oatmeal and milk and such... I looked for summer blooming bulbs and seeds, but the displays aren't up yet... they're just starting to put them up... then we came home. We took care of all the animals, and I managed to jam my kneecap into a gate latch. Ouch! We watched a movie or two, then Strikeforce... and I fell asleep! The kids called to wish me a Happy Birthday, and I talked with them for a while. That was the extent of my day. I'm now officially 50... half a century. Yikes! ;-) Thank you for all the great Birthday wishes... they mean a lot to me! You guys and gals are the greatest! :-)

Thank you to everyone who sent me Birthday Wishes yesterday! I spent the day napping, had a few chocolate chip cookies with coffee, and put together an order from Brent & Becky's newest catalog... Whatever you do, don't skip your vitamins! This is a combination chest cold/flu that will knock you down for a few days! I feel really horrible, and I wouldn't want any of you to get this one! Double up on the Echinacea to boost your immune system! Thanks again, everyone! Just knowing that so many of you were thinking of me yesterday helped make me feel a little bit better! :-)

Hey, thanks everyone! Had a great day despite the fact that I had to work and I'm coming down with a nasty cold. DD drove down from LA (50 miles) to have lunch with me and DS and DH took me out to dinner. Now I need to get back on the hiking trails again ASAP! That's fine ... life it good. Jodi-

Why is my birthday not on my profile Jasdip? ... well, because I removed it quite deliberately a few years ago. :-) But alas, it appears Facebook gave me away. LOL

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Took the day off from work and had a fantastic day with friends and family.
