I've already gone for an hours walk this morning. It's cloudy and looks like it might rain (weather forecast says 60% chance of showers). It's 20úC now but supposed to go up to 26úC. I'm hoping to get out and take some pictures this afternoon. I also have to run to the grocery store and drop off a pair of pants to get hemmed.

Went to the dentist for cleaning. Have to go out again today to pick up pills forgot to get yesterday. Won twice at Bingo last night. No money, just fun and got more candy to give to great g kids This is at the senior assist living where I am living now. Today also is exercise class.
Beautiful day, no wind yet but warm. State fair opens Fri, and parade Sat. Will stay home and enjoy it on TV

Cleaning up the mess from my bank card being hacked... again! What's up with that? I never ever had problems with the bank I'd been with from the time I was 16-40ish and since then, it's been hacked twice. I mostly use cash and only write one check a month. I never let anyone else use my card, it's always locked up or on my person. So how?! oh how?! does it happen? Oy. I guess I'm going to have to go straight to cash only. I did have three accounts that auto drafted on my card, and one is changed. But surely, those weren't the breach? I did just come back from vacation, and that's my guess. Someone lifted the number from one of the restaurants I used it at. Taxis were cash. Everything at the resort was charged to my room. Oh well, I may as well just get the affidavit done. Get this, where was it used that triggered this? Virginia. Williamsburg, Virginia. I've never even been to Williamsburg, Virginia? Was it "sold"? Weird!

Hey Dee? Guess that restaurant where my card is guaranteed will be up a creek if we don't show up. heh

Today is another beautiful weather day. Twin cities were proud of the good weather for the All Star game.

No big plans for today. I will continue assembling items that I think my deceased husband's daughter might want to have. He was a sentimental guy. I went through his keepsake box and found all the letters I had written to him after we reconnected in 2006. Also all cards I had sent, as well as a stack of pictures of me that are (gasp!!) over 70 years old.

I will sign up for dinner in our dining room (10 meals a month come with our rent). The rest of the day I will do what household tasks I can. Maybe get outside for a while. I'm not as ambitious as all of you youngsters!

The plumber is here, replacing the faucet in one of the bathrooms.

We have decided to get a new roof and siding. Many phone calls talking contractors, setting up appointments for obtaining estimates.

This afternoon will be spent in the yard, pruning this and that.

Getting the house spiffy for a sister who will be arriving from Vancouver for a few days. Weeding the flower beds, laundry, some grocery shopping. Then -- oh, bliss, reading hopefully for a couple of hours this pm.

Rested this morning, and will make cantaloupe bread for my Thursday card group as a treat.

Im also getting ready for a visit from my sister. Unfortunately the guest room has turned into a storage room so Im working very hard to get it cleaned out. Im leaving Friday am to go to pa to help my daughter move, then to my sister's lake cottage for a "girls"" weekend. There will be about 12 of us there. On Sunday or Monday my sister will ride home with me then Friday back to my daughter's new place for a day of shopping. Ok, so today I have got to get that room cleaned!! Also need to get an oil change for the car, pick up a prescription at the dr., and be at a meeting at 6:00. Im already tired. Satine

Today I have two scans scheduled so I will be out having that done, I hope it doesn't take a long time. Also have to go by the pharmacy to pick up meds.
Then I might take a nap!

Speaking of siding.....we've been having ours done this week. What a racket! These guys are really great, though. No nonsense, hard working, no loud music playing or yelling. They clean up as they go, so that our yard doesn't look like a dump site; there has been no smoking on the site at all.

We put a cooler full of water and drinks on ice for them in the morning ; it's been so hot until today.

Today I turn 72, so other than take out for dinner( we will have family party on vac. in a week) just going to DD's so she can show me how some stuff works on my new Ipad, that is dif.from the old one.

sitting in my chair watching the last episode of "Orange is the New Black"...then therapy....then playing on the computer...begging hubster to go for a drive...I'll be so glad to be recovered in a few months!

Daily lunchtime visit with my FIL at the demetia care facility. Getting him to eat is getting more and more difficult.

After that a visit to my dad who recently had a stroke. Painting class after that and then prep for dinner.

I slept in today. I have a cold from my husband that he got from the sickos at work, and my jaw is killing me from having some dental work done yesterday. I'll probably do some cleaning and sorting today before I have to start thinking about dinner tonight.

Went to the grocery store first thing after breakfast . Spent $147 on what, I don't know. Didn't get any meat and only one package of cookies. (DH can't resist the stores own bakery Banana flavored mini gobs)

Home from the grocery, put it all away and worked on a puzzle while resting.

Ate lunch of leftover salad and pizza, cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes. The dishwasher is out mowing the grass, so I was on my own.

Pickled some beets then washed the romaine and tomatoes to ready for tonights salad to go with a Chicken, black beans and salsa casserole. Got everything organized to make it quick to put together later.

Going outside now to deadhead the daylilies and massacre as many Japanese Beetles as I can. Will take a cold drink and one of those gobs to the dishwasher 'cause lawn mowing usually causes low blood sugar for him.

It is a magnificent day to be alive. Wall to wall sunshine low humidity and 71 degrees here. Don't get any better than that.

Huff & Puff......dinner. Hot, hot, hot day....105....IN Oregon!

Nonsense started when I was done sleeping at 3am. Fiddled on the computer. A normal day at work, complain complain complain. Not about to attempt anything outside with the hefty North winds and ridiculous 70ð. Doors & windows are nailed shut. C'mon, this is July, evenings should be in the comfy 80's. Nanny, can I put a tent in your yard? You've got the best so far. Oregonians whine when it's above 75ð!!

Oh MY,yes, our evenings cool down nicely... and our heat wave will be a short one. Clouding up now and fires threaten. I did notice DS had a blanket in a chair in the back yard last night. No mosquitos here as yet so blanket and chair work.

Have to say, however, leaving the Huff & Puff place was like stepping out in Modesto, California. Breathtaking!

Went runnung, it's cool, 68 degrees. Walked the cat inbetween rain storms.They keep issuing flash flood warnings. The phone rings with warnings every time they close or open the highway. A siren is going off. The gutters are FULL of hail.

Coming home from work my DH was stuck parking outside of town, then walking a block to where I could pick him up. Of course I called him with a grocery list....if I leave...then we'll both be stuck and have to walk back in. OK...so if there's a danger of flooding....why are pedestrians allowed to walk around?

Really dumb......but at least there's no fire danger. :0)
