Braun Coffee Grinder
Comments (1)This link has directions for a grinder similar to your Braun. The instructions will be the same. Use as a guideline and adjust the amount if you prefer a stronger coffee. Ann. Here is a link that might be useful: Coffee Grinder...See MoreMy coffee grinder died!!
Comments (19)A few years ago, there was a big stir in the SF Bay Area about "poop berry coffee"...people were actually lining up to pay an outrageous price to buy a cup of it. (I can't remember how much, I just remember being incredulous.) I have four coffee grinders. A spiffy little Bodum that I bought last week at a Cost Plus sale for ten bucks, which is my current grinder (it looks nice on the counter). It's arrival has pushed my old, reliable Mr. Coffee grinder into the pantry as a back up spice grinder, waiting for the final demise of my other Mr. Coffee (newer than the other, but not as reliable apparently, as it's held together with duct tape already.) And, I have a decorative hand-cranked coffee grinder that I have never actually tried. I'm sure I would get tired of cranking before I ever came close to producing the fine powder I like to make my coffee with, if it would even be possible....See MoreTen O'Clock Rule
Comments (13)My version is the " be sure to do it way before 10:00" rule, which seems to mirror a lot of folks above. DH's alarm goes off about 5:45 a.m. I've learned that by 10:00 pm I'm really fading, and get extremely cranky if I still have to clear clean laundry off the bed, do dishes, or whatever--all of my tolerance is just gone--pfft. Sometimes I feel like a 2-year-old. Then also I have the tendency to get all rev'd up again if I do start that, and so have to take another half hour or so to settle down, and then don't want to get up in the morning. A good while ago we started the "dishwasher break" if watching a movie at night, or even TV--either get the kitchen all cleaned up before 8pm or so, or "stop the tape" (old lingo)midway and stretch, clean up and load, then finish the movie. It fits in not only with preparing for your day or events, but also respecting your own rhythms and not setting yourself up for bad cranky moods when you don't have to--same as keeping thing simple when you've got evening committee meetings or guests in town or other things....See MoreCappucino/latte maker recommendations?
Comments (5)The OP may not be looking a week later, and this may be out of the range of possibilities, but I wanted to pass along just in case or in case anyone else is looking for a way to stop waiting lines for their favorite coffee drinks. This is a pretty good price on a machine that grinds and brews as well as steams the milk or a variety of drinks. We have a different Jura, but I was looking at the instruction manual (link is online) and this little package does all most folks would need. They are dependable and easy to maintain too. Like I said above, these refurbished units come with a warranty and are a great way to buy a fancier machine. We have bought refurbished -- they keep going for years and they can be serviced if you ever run into a problem (the techs will walk you through anything you can check yourself before having you send it in). The purchase is a big gulp -- I get that, but if you stop for coffee frequently, it doesn't take long to realize a payoff. This one is being offered directly by Jura, but 1st in Coffee also offeres the refurbished units (I buy water filters from them and ordered some new milk tubes from Jura -- seem to have gotten on both mailing lists)....See Morechisue
