Joanmn, what a sweetie you have there! Darn, I was thinking that I have no cat pics to add, but yes I do!. This is one of the kitties of one of the KT's dearest friends, Nita! Haven't seen her here in ages. Hope all is well with her. Pic taken almost 3 years ago when Nita and Mike were in my driveway for a couple days.

Today is an absolutely gorgeous day for a drive so we did. We packed a lunch and headed to beach country. Not to sit on the beach, but wander the town. We did drive along the beach and there wasn't a soul in the water, I guess it's too cold. We did fill up on gas, too. It was 15c/litre cheaper than at home when we left. It was 1.13/litre at home and 97.8c/litre in Goderich. Here's hubby in the park in front of the courthouse. The shops are in a circle around the courthouse. And the water was sparkling blue, with no one in it.

Interestingly, those of us who live (or used to live) in the area, the big pond is one thing only. For those on the east coast, the big pond is a much bigger pond!

The day before yesterday the Tour de France went near or through the city of Lourdes in southern France. These pictures of the city are from the train as we went through several years ago. There is a Catholic shrine somewhere in the city that is believed to have healing powers.

A week or so later, as we were flying out of nearby Pau, some people checking-in in front of us had all flown in that morning, had each traveled to Lourdes, filled a large plastic container with the "healing waters" and were flying out the same day. I got the impression that they were on some sort of missionary trip, to bring the waters to others unable to make the trip.
