Tracfones

I have a tracfone and love it. Don't use it often so it is great for me. However, I want to get a new one and wonder how difficult it would be to transfer minutes from one fone to the other? Anyone here thats done it?

I've done it. Not difficult. You need to call up Tracfone and work your way through communicating with them to do it. Have your phone charged and ready - you'll be punching in a lot of numbers. You can keep your old number on the new phone or use the number on there. You'll have to give the registration info you used when signing up and everything needs to match perfectly but otherwise, not a real big deal.

Not hard at all, like Cynic says. I just got DH a new one a few weeks ago, and gave his old one to my sister. The longest part was entering the contacts. And if they both have bluetooth, that might not even take long.

Or...you can do what I do every year, Jenson, when I add another years worth of minutes to my Tracfone. Ask the person selling the new phone to do it for you. I have rapidly failing eyesight and it takes a while to enter all those numbers. I've been blessed with very pleasant and agreeable sales people who don't mind helping an old broad like me. ;-)

I'm like Anne. Yesterday I was buying an item at my local pharmacy. Decided to use my debit card. I couldn't read the card reader instructions. The clerk did the whole transaction for me. But for the kindness of strangers...

It is simple for me, I have T Mobile To Go and all I do is move the Sim card to the new phone. Like my most of my email addresses they are added when I hear from someone. I tried Tracfone and could not get it to work well. My T Mobile has never been a problem. I renew my minutes once a year and get bonus minutes.

Just go to tracfone.com and click add minutes. When you complete the transaction the old minutes and all your info will be on the new phone. Before you do that check to see what deals they have on new phones. I paid nothing with a one year card and I bought the triple minutes card on Amazon before I went to the tracfone site so I got a free phone and triple my minutes and it all took about ten minutes. I find the site much easier than calling and having to repeat a zillion numbers.
