| Had a close encounter with this female Regal Moth yesterday. She was laying eggs and will die when her job is done. These moths have no mouth parts with which to eat, so live as adult moths just a few days.

| We have a butterfly conservatory just outside of the city, and it's fascinating to go. It's like a large rainforest, and there are dishes of fruit placed everywhere for them to eat. I knew that most of them only lived for a few days, but I sure didn't know that some of them don't have mouths!! That is a cruel punishment. |

| My basil that I bought over the weekend, that had roots, so it could be planted. I'm hoping I have basil to use for my sauces when I buy my romas! |

| Our son with his "Chicken of the Woods" mushroom. The biggest he's ever found. They say it tastes just like chicken. I'll never know, haha. |
