Frigid water, swift current, treacherous footing; river crossings are always exciting.

I have a water lily too. Well.....it isn't mine, but I took this picture at the mission in San Clemente, CA.

My waterlily is a wildflower growing in a nearby pond.

I would like to have either one, a pond nearby or on my property! Not enough room in my yard, though.

And, Ron, you are a brave man!!

My water lily is in a pond in a nearby park. I wanted to bring it home, but couldn't get DH to swim out and get it for me! And he always told me that he would swim to the depths of the ocean for me!!

On the Rio Dulce in Eastern Guatemala, at one stop on our tour several children paddled up to us in dugout canoes offering to sell water lilies, or starfish or locally made handicrafts.
