If you haven't already seen this movie, do go. I loved it. If you've read the book, it follows the book exactly. The casting was great, the acting superb.

There is no question it is sad, but it is funny, too and so beautifully done.

I've just finished reading Barbara Walter's autobiography, "Audition". I've always been a huge lover of good biographies and autobiographies and have read too many to count over the years. But, I have to say that this one by Barbara Walters is by far the best, most interesting one I have ever read . . . hands down! It's an easy read with many , many great photos. Long, although it was so interesting that I wished it had gone on for another 100 pages. She has met , interviewed and befriended some of the world's most fascinating people and, after finishing her book, I'm convinced that she's the most fascinating person of all of them. It really doesn't matter whether you read them in order, but I did, just to be sure I didn't miss anything. I loved the series (some were better than others), and can't wait to read the final one. Wanda, is the Jack Reacher series finished? I hope not! I read not too long ago that Lee Child had been quoted as saying he would kill Reacher off when people stopped buying his books. Surely that hasn't happened.....

ok call me stupid. :) I finally realized that the extra long branch of the fake tree IS wire and that I could wrap it around the base of the star! hahaha :) so we finally have our tree up with a star on it. :) We can now start adding ornaments! :D This is our first Christmas in our house and I'm so excited to decorate. We are still living out of boxes, but I don't care....the tree has to be decorated! :D Now to move on to furniture in the room and curtains to hide the cord to the lights. :) hehehe

I love Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin. Repossessed by A. M. Jenkins. The Future of Us. Also anything by A. S. King. I have a teen, so I've been to teen book fairs and haunted the YA section of the library. DD's favorite was Struts and Frets by John Skovron. I also really enjoyed reading When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead, a Newbery winner. That is aimed a little younger, but wonderful, especially if you liked A Wrinkle in Time, my favorite childhood book. One of the best things about having a child is being exposed to literature you wouldn't have known about. This genre is no less profound for being written for a different audience. We each bring our own experiences and understanding to the books. And yes, plllog, I agree - gotta love entire Anne of Green Gables series. DD has middle name spelled with an "e."

Plan on going to see the movie tomorrow with my 14 year old granddaughter. Her 2nd time to see it; my first. She says I'll love it. She loved the book too.

I think you would all be surprised. The author prefers to think of it as a beautiful love story and it is.

Saw the movie this afternoon. Enjoyed it thoroughly and thought it was well done - even though it was a 3-tissue tear jerker! Reminded me of "Love Story" with Ryan O'Neal and Ali McGraw, but "Fault" is probably the better movie.
