Need Help Finding X Stitch Pattern

My niece pitches for her High School Softball team. She wants me to X stitch a softball field for her. I've been all over the www and haven't been able to find a pattern for a field, as a matter of fact I have found very, very few softball patterns. None of those I did find were to her liking. Was wondering if anyone at the KT would be able to direct me to where I could find what I'm looking for, not necessarily a field, just something attractive Softball related. TIA. Mare

There used to be business' that took a photo or logo and made it into a cross stitch pattern. I have no clue if those places are still in business though. I used to do tons of cross stitch....but never a softball or field. Sorry.

Forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't it be possible to adapt a baseball-themed cross stitch pattern for softball fairly easily?

I like to join the cross stitch exchange club too! I am looking for a pattern to finish my project started 9 yrs ago. It is a new home welcome saying goes like this, Welcome may your stay be pleasant and when you depart may you take warm memories to treasure in your heart. I lost the original pattern when we transition our move to our new home. I have the project half done. Please help! If you can find a hat of the same size that you want...it's a piece of cake to figure out the pattern... It's knit from the brim up on circular needles..garter stitch edge, decreasing after an inch or so to get the proper dimensions for the head....then knit straight up and decreased by the psso method every other row and finished. Trimmed with crocheted flowers. You need to figure out your gauge and measure a hat of the correct size. I made a very similar one a couple of years back. One of the tricks it to use double yarn and knit tightly so the brim has substance and will curl up. Linda C

I belong to several cross stitch groups on Facebook. Many, many people are converting their own photos to patterns. I think several people use a program called Pic2Pat.

One caution though. Not all pattern converters are created equal. Some are very pixelated and the finished cross stitch looks inferior. Others create a very finely tuned pattern, but in order to get a high quality resolution they may use a high number of colors (like 80). Do some research before you commit.

There are several baseball themed patterns up on Ebay.

Stoney Creek did a Sports pattern leaflet. There are a couple up on Ebay with a Softball pattern.
