Did you watch the first episode of the new show Tyrant last week? It was an interesting situation. The younger son of a middle eastern tyrant of an un named country runs away to the USA as a young man, becomes a pediatrician, marries, and has 2 kids. Younger daughter seems more realistic than her brother and mother.

Pediatrician, against his better judgment, is convinced by wife to return to his home country for his nephew's wedding. They go and find out that his father had bought all the tickets on the plane so that they could fly in a private jet. Son is impressed with the palace and all the perks. Tyrant father dies during the wedding party. Pediatrician learns about it, and takes his family directly from the wedding to the airport for a plane home. Wife and son balk, and he is able to insist they cooperate, but they blab all the way through the airport about wanting to stay and why no matter who overhears them.

They get on the plane. In the meantime, his older brother is the new tyrant, and goes to collect his reluctant "mistress" in his Porche for yet another raping. She knows he is coming, and grabs a hypodermic. In the car racing along a mountain road, he grabs her and molests her as he speeds along. She jabs the needle into him, and in the ensuing tussle they fly off the road, over the guard rail, to the sea below.

Now the state police come to the airport, drive onto the tarmac, stop the plane and enter the cabin to demand the pediatrician come with them. It ends here.

Looks violent but interesting. DH says it sounds like Assad's story--he was a dentist in England.
