.....what happened to your photos?

I've had a Flickr Pro account for years, but when I became active on Facebook I stopped using it as a way to share my pics with family and friends. I just received a notice saying $45 will be automatically charged to my credit card. I'm planning to cancel that, but I'm wondering what will happen to the photos in my account.

I opened a Snapfish account and uploaded all my Flickr photos into that. I believe there are instructions on the Snapfish site, although I am not all that crazy about Snapfish. It seems to make it hard to share the photos on another site.

I just checked and on Snapfish there is a button that says Upload (near the top of the page). If you hover over that, it gives you the option to Upload from Flickr.

You get 1 terabyte for free now, so your pictures will be safe. I stopped paying for my pro account last year

Hi everyone, HOORAY!!!!! The STEELERS brought home one for the thumb! Thanks Semper! You are so wonderful to do this for all us ponders. It was great fun! And thank you for the win. I asked Semper to donate my winnings to The National Aviary right here in Pittsburgh, PA. It is a wonderful place that is close to my heart. Here is a pic of the Bald Eagles that reside there. Notice the one flapping only has one wing. Poor thing had been shot by some @#$&*!*....... And this is a picture of me the last time I was there..... Thanks for helping take care of the birds Semper. How do you organize your Flickr?

I switched too because of how photobucket was mucking up things. I've mostly put pics in 1 main file with a couple of folders for some personal event pics. Hosta pics have name in file so are very searchable. Done nothing with tags. Keep in mind if you move files or change names, the links for posted pics in GW will be broken. Paul

Thanks Jay, He has wanted to be a Marine since he was very young. When he was in the 4th grade and had to write the story of his life, he wrote that he wanted to be a Marine when he grew up. Now THAT is sticking to the plan! LOL The first 3 weeks were the hardest for him because he wasn't allowed to use his contacts and his glasses are so strong that they had to send them off base to be made. So, all he could see was a blur when they were showing him stuff that he had to learn like hand to hand combat, etc. Betty

My webshot album does that,and every week they send me an email telling me how many times certain albums have been viewed.I really need to update that one~~~~~~~~~~it's old,and i mostly use photobucket now,but that one is private.(Photobucket) My sister is passionate about ironing,don't ask me why,never been a passion of any of the rest of her sisters. Me included ,LOL.

Yeah you don't need to pay for Flickr anymore! Just go to your profile and switch from pro to free and you can upload as much as you want.

About FLICKR.....and....if you don't like the new format to view photos, there's a hack you can install and it looks like the old format....or use a language other than English and the old format is still in use. :0)

Even though I've had a Flickr acct since 2007, I didn't upload any photos until just a few months ago when I got fed up with Photobucket. Now I'm quite active following others and having followers on Flicker. Mostly other birders.

I was shocked to discover I got 1 TB free with my free Flickr acct which made me very happy. Now I just need to close down my Pro (paid) Photobucket account.

I let my Flickr pro acct lapse because they've made me so mad with all their changes. I tried some of the hacks but they keep changing things so the hacks no longer work right and I'm not bilingual so I can't use the other versions (but I'm sure they'll change theirs soon, too) for more than a few simple things. Grrr. Huge data suck, now, which I can't do on Verizon limited data allowances.
