We were outside a lot today and I watched Miss Alyssa and her Aunt Cheryl plant my two half whiskey barrels. Cheryl and I had a late lunch from McDonald's. Mine was their fish sandwich and we shared my fries, so I think my supper will just be some cold cantaloupe. Near 90 here if not 90 today.

Joel's called out to me today. I can check their daily menu online, and if I see something I particulary want, off I go.

Today their wonderful smoked sausage and cabbage in a bowl with a warm slice of cornbread.

We're under a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning.
We just finished dinner. Hubby grilled some bone-in pork chops on the balcony on our indoor griddle. They were just perfect.

I boiled potatoes with the skins on, and sauteed green beans and onions with a splash of balsamic vinegar.

been running errands and doctor visits so just a pizza for tonight.

92 on the meter. Starting to warm up nicely as summer is just minutes away now. Cheap Lasagna, again.

Hot dogs, baked sweet potato fries, and pasta salad for us.

Sue: If you add your fish sandwich with your cantaloupe, you have a good meal. I love fresh cantaloupe.

Glenda: It's nice to check online for restaurant menus. You know exactly what you're going to get.

Jasdip: I hope you don't get the weather they're predicting. I'd like a bite of each of your foods -- too stuffed right now for more than that.

Raven: Are you doing any better? I like "just a pizza" now and then. Easy fixing, easy cleanup, and tastes good.

Am finally picking some chard that I planted late. I sauteed some garlic and onions in butter/olive oil, added the chard and some white wine to wilt, a splash of fresh lemon juice and a generous grating of fresh Parm just before serving. Oh MY, it was good.

Served it up with some salmon patties and crispy potatoes for Robert.

50 degrees here today. Cloudy, overcast and raining off and on for over a week. Depressing! Meatloaf sandwiches for hubby (heaven on a plate for him). Leftover shrimp egg foo yung and S&S chicken for me. Not cooking again until these leftovers are gone!

I was outside working in the garden all morning and was so tired and wiped out so went and bought at store this half chicken with potatoes and veggies and had that for lunch.

For supper then I had a hotdog.

Two fried eggs smothered in a cajun cream sauce that had chunks of lobster in it. Left from Monday morning's breakfast. Not the egss, the rest. I was on vacation Monday and so, I splurged on brunch. And I guess, I splurged on not having to cook again. Funny thing was, after I made it all on Monday, I thought, this isn't really a vacation day since no one made it for me or will clean up the mess! I did get to see some cousins, got a new to me car, and drove to/from Columbia, TN. Nice day for a drive in a car that has A/C (mom's car!).
