tee hee, that's what our water aerobics group has named themselves :o)

I was hostess with 3 great co-hostess in my condo clubhouse.

Had big number 25, but I forgot to get the camera out after they had started leaving.

So which one is you? Since I haven't been here very long, I don't know if your picture has been posted. Enquiring minds like mine want to know? Can I guess?

The blonde in the lime green shirt on the left would be my guess.

Thanks so much you two! The third tree isn't that big of a deal, but I'll try to go take closer pics today. I tried to research and research last night. I found out that my previous searches weren't helping because I was searching for "PINE" tree's and finally I realized that I THOUGHT these other two might be CEDAR tree's. HOORAY! Mystery solved! Now to figure out how to keep weird people out of the yard when they decide they want to break off my branches and steal these little "pinecone" thingies? UGH. I'll also try to post another picture of the "cyprus" tree...I love this tree, it's so cute and reminds me of a tree from a Doctor Seuss book.

Botann's point is well taken it does supply good fast shade but in my experience they NEVER get taken down once they get bigger until the storms lay it on your house large branches in your yard and an ugly possibly mishapen tree.Folks always plan to but by the time they get around to it the tree is 40-50 feet tall and not easily removed.The Silver maple in our area can grow 10-15 feet pr. year up and out( mine do) without much problem a tree your size will be probabably 20 ft tall maybe taller and probably 15-20 ft. wide in two more years if your soil is half as good as mine... Remember the larger the tree the more it will cost to have taken out especially one that close to your abode. Of course this is your decision David

Hey dixieboy, Your Cycads look great.Are they Cycas revolutas?I wish I had a inside corner on my house that didn't face north.I've tried them out in my yard and they rot in the ground during winter.Do you add sand or something to make them drain better?I notice the one you have by the carport is on top of a mound.Is that a Agave Americana I see in pix 5 behind the silver car?I have 2 of the Cycas revolutas in 15 gal.pots,there pot bound and need to be potted up to bigger pots or planted in the ground.They weigh about 80lbs a piece now.Maybe if I mixed in a lot of sand they wouldn't rot on me.Great pix as always.I hope everything is well with you. Wetsuitor: The only ones I dug up this year were 4 washies and a sago palm, each of which would take considerable protection here including heat. I will be leaving those in when they get 2 big to handle, but the washies seem to take root distubance very well and overwinter well indoors. There is of course some set back and it is slow to get growing in the spring, however I'm not ready to get into an elaborate heating system yet. I'm trying to work out my kinks this year on a trachy. Plus my wife would kill me if I had Jim's setup! I live in maybe the coldest winter 6a in America. This will be my 3rd winter here, the lowest low each of the past 2 years is -2, and -8F, HOWEVER, it is the norm to go 3 weeks at a time never getting above freezing. Last December and January, we had 9 days that got above freezing during the day, and most of those were in the 33-38F range for highs. We also had 2 3-weeks seesions of consecutive below freezing weather. The other problem is that I generally don't see grass from Dec.1 to mid-March, it never gets warm enough to ever melt the snow. Last year I lost 2 decent sized trachies and a sabal palmetto, and my minors and needle that survived received considerable damage, the minors burned 98%, the only things left were the emerging spears. Needle had spear pull with surving pups. That was with frost cloth wrapped unheated leaf cages, which provided 0-30% damage and no losses the year before.

I was so busy hosting, I forgot to eat until after most was gone.
I did have blackberry cobbler with ice cream along with peach clobber.

My two appetizers that went with the peach spritzers , alcohol and non, was a big time hit.
Pepper goat cheese log, and the big winner was Cream cheese topped with jarred pesto and chopped black olives.

Big time success!

Peach Cobbler ! Oh my gosh, that is a favorite of mine. The best I ever ate was a long long time ago someplace near Birmingham, Alabama. DH and I were traveling to Florida for a much needed vacation of surf and sun and we decided to stay overnight near Birmingham. We thought that we would just cruise around and found this place, kind of rustic that had the most amazing peach cobbler I ever ate in my life. I have no idea what the name of the place was, but fresh peaches were in season at the time. We got a sack of fresh peaches to take with us too. Thanks for the memory.

Oh my goodness Glenda, No I don't recall. It has been quite a few years back, maybe 9 or 10 or even more. My memory for eateries is not so good. But I do wish I had made a note of that place. I will NEVER EVER forget that Cobbler. I make a pretty good peach cobbler, but that one was sheer sinfully delicious perfection. LOL

Well, I think you all look like some pretty hot babes! And your lunch sounds yummy! I made a peach cobbler yesterday, too.
