Light rain showers here...and happy about it!

Hotdogs stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon. (something DH likes. I used to eat them as a kid. Carries childhood memories.)

We had thunder and a lot of rain in a short period. Now the rain has stopped and the wind died down. Still humid.

Hubby grilled chicken breasts and asparagus the other day, for tonite's dinner. So grilled chicken breasts, grilled asparagus, and rice salad was tonite's meal.

I went grocery shopping with the girls today. We had a very nice meal at Logan's Steakhouse. I had the buttermilk fried chicken with white gravy, and mashed potatoes also a baked sweet potato. I shared my meal with Alyssa and I brought one piece of chicken home with me. So supper for me was just a bologna sandwich. We hit a down pour of rain all the way home and flooding conditions are all about. We are fine though.

I'm going to Subway for a BLT and tons of vegetables on it. I envy you all that rain. We hardly ever get much and in summer it's rare. I couldn't handle living in a rainy place like the PNW but I'd love more rain than we get in southern California.

We went out for supper tonight: grilled salmon, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra, homemade bread, butter and coffee.

I want to go to Oldfixer'sâ¦.tacos and margaritas, my kind of food! Today was a golf tournament followed by a luncheon. Didn't have lunch until 2:30 so I don't feel like dinner. Maybe some fruit later.

Ugh, so much humidity here as well as two days of on and off rain. We had pork chops, salad and roasted asparagus.

We went out for barbecue.

Meatball sub and tossed salad. Yummy !! : )

It finally decided to rain and added a big dose of thunderstorms. I had to shut down my computer for a couple of hours.

Nicole: I used to fix hotdogs that way for my kids. Usually added baked beans for a side dish.

Jasdip: What you cooked ahead of time certainly made tonight's meal extra easy. What's rice salad?

Sue: I think it would be a ball to go grocery shopping with you and your girls. Would especially like the lunch part... it sounds good.

Old Fixer: I'll skip happy hour, but will take a taco.

Deeby: Make my Subway a roast beef. I keep saying I'll share the excess rain Ohio's been getting. It's still raining here and will throughout tomorrow according to the forecast.

Linda: What number do I call to order my food? Sounds so good.

Georgysmom: I could eat some fruit about now, too, and I did eat supper.

Pam: Pork chops would be so good. Can you believe I've never had asparagus?

Kittiesmom: Restaurant or friends house for barbecue? Either way it surely beats cooking.

Pianolady: It's been ages since I had a meatball sub. It was when I was still working and one of the gals went out for subs. So take a bite for me.

Just got home from work...long awful day. Stopped at the Japanese place Alex works at on the way home and got 2 pieces of salmon roe and some Katsudon...which I'm eating now. Will have lots of leftovers.

I had a Marie Calendar mixture of rice/ beef and vegetables, and a huge bowl of cole slaw. Now I'm eating some mixed nuts and having a glass of wine. Cooking for one lacks incentive!

Shirley, it's just cooked wild and brown rice, red and green peppers, onions, garlic, dried cranberries, sliced water chestnuts, chopped kale and lovage......really whatever I want to put in it.

Spent two hours making chicken and cheese enchiladas and spanish rice. Looked like carp and I didn't even taste it. I don't know what happened, except I didn't have tomato sauce. I pureed diced tomatoes and tomato paste, adding a little water, until I thought it was the right taste and consistency. Apparently NOT! DH didn't "ooh and aah" over it, like he usually does, but I know he'll eat it because he absolutely will not waste food. And there is a lot left! *sigh*
