Sounds like a productive day Sue..

I have been in the kitchen all morning...
Baked a foccacia, french bread loaves, cheesy bread sticks and pizza sauce...(lunch)
There is now an almond flour crust in the oven for a fruit tart and another foccacia to go in.

We are having a picnic after the baseball game today..I am taking the breads for sandwiches and a gluten free fruit tart. I will use my strawberries and white peaches to top it..some creamcheese and whipped cream will hold them together. ;)

I need to go into town and get some paper work from the orthodontist...but I'm putting it off...lol

I went to my knitting group this morning. On my way home I picked up 2 of the grandsons so they can help Papa in the yard. I heave a load of clothes in the washer. Now to find some energy to vacuum.....

Humid and mid-70's here. I did some much needed vacuum cleaning behind some never moved furniture...:cough, sneeze:...and ordered a new flapper for the toilet that started acting up today. The contractor working on the house hurt his hand so ongoing repairs are delayed probably until after Independence Day.

got the garbage together, and in the cans...dh has been away on convention and wanted to have as little for him to do tonight...he and ds2 had a 12 hour drive home....dinner is on, but I have another hour, sigh...(had to drop off ds, so now traffic)

oh along with thousands of others watched USA play soccer!!

Today I am loafing. Not because I have nothing to do, but because I am recovering from what was probably the worst cold and bronchitis I have ever had.

Many things to do here but no energy to do them. Did go for my hair appointment downstairs. Got a haircut which was much needed.

I'm hoping another day or two will bring some energy. Still much to do following my husband's death in March. I suspect that I was somewhat run down when this cold bug "bit".

I enjoy reading of all the things the rest of you are doing.

I have netflix and a ROKU but it is hard to be loafing when looking at jobs undone.

Seniorgal, if I missed the passing of your DH, I am sorry. You have my sympathy. Hope you get over your bug soon. Colds and bronchitis are the pits. Tami

Do feel better after the trip to CA for GD HS graduation. The trip wasn't bad even with all the problems Burlington RR is giving Amtrak. Wait is the big thing--4 hours going and about 5 hours returning. I am evaluating everything and doing some letter writing. Not bad letters, just unhappy ones.
Weather here in the 70's but weather person claims rain tonight. I think most of the farmers got the crops in and the winter wheat sure looks good.
Still catching up after moving and trip. Trying to decide what to keep and what to get rid of.
Just went under an alert--probably thunder storm watch.

Took the dog to run in the field early, 7ish. Came home and watched most of the soccer game. Went to the Humane Society and looked at the dogs. My oh my, overabundance of Chihuahuas and pit bulls. Of the pits, some looked like lovely dogs, and some did not. It's all so sad. I'm not looking to adopt a dog, but I felt happy each time I saw that ADOPTED stamp on the cage sign.

Went to Trader Joes and got a salad and some nuts. Ate nuts in the car on the way home, so I'm not hungry for the salad.

No extra activities beyond the work day today. Love my antenna for free TV. Why pay to fall asleep in the chair?

Well this morning I went clothes shopping - I have hardly any summer clothes since losing weight. I got a few sleeveless tops at the thrift store and Walmart. Then I went to the grocery story, came home and unpacked the groceries and had a late breakfast.

Then I dropped lunch off to Joe. Then I had a mammogram - just routine, my yearly test.

After that I walked for an hour - the Signal Hill trail with over 700 steps - a great workout! Had a late lunch when I got home.

Wrapped a retirement gift for a friend who is retiring after 30 years of teaching. Picked Joe up from work, made supper, watched Jeopardy, did a 25 minute weight workout.

Just relaxed with a cup of coffee and now I have to edit some photos that I am donating to the local children's hospital fundraiser.

Went to bank, then went and filled up car and then stopped at redbarn and bought some sandwiches, they make good ones, some meat and fresh strawberries, milk. Came home and unpacked and ate half a sandwich and then when it was time went to centre as having their strawberry tea and so enjoyed it alot and good socializing at same time.
Came out to a very hot car and turned on air conditioning.
Came home and changed into cooler clothes, shorts on and bare feet, so much better as I was too hot. Then outside to garden and turned on hoses and watered a short bit out in garden. Came back inside and went on computer and then heated up left overs for supper. Just going to take it easy this evening.

I slept in late today since my friend was not able to make our lunch date today. Then, I ran some errands, including picking up a book at the library. I did the grocery shopping, and I planned for a picnic day at the beach for the weekend. I prepped the fruits and veggies I bought. I made a huge green salad and homemade chicken potpie for dinner. I've got the dishes yet to do.

"Sounds of Summer" all over this late June day. DH and I are out of our valley and enjoying a few days of mountain air with our RV group. Lots of catching up and eating and more catching up as more of our group arrive. Meetings take place, making plans for our RV Rally that we put in every September. Always good to be on the road for a bit.

I had company for dinner--some relatives of dh. I did lots of errands in the morning then started in on dinner in the early afternoon--Indian food that turned out pretty good. I'm pooped now!

Seniorgal, I too am so sorry to hear of your husband's passing, and especially sorry if you posted and I didn't see it. I hope you have much support.

I had an unlucky day yesterday! So I didn't post (might've jinxed it worse!). I spilled coffee on my pant suit. We're hosting someone from a biobank on the other side of the world and I had to go around looking like that all day! UGH! And the shoes I thought we be good walking shoes (Skechers memory foam), gave me blisters. Just when I thought it was over, I got home and two cars had plowed into my mailbox right before I got home. No person was hurt. Thank goodness. A 16 year old whose mother was called by the authorities once they arrived. Decimated a shrub, but was able to replant the daylilies. Oh, and I accidentally canceled my upcoming hotel reservation, so I had to get it reinstated. I sweated over it really being done until this morning. I just called and they saw two reservations, one canceled, and one still intact. Whew.

Today, I am coasting to the weekend! I have to take the biobank guy to one more appointment. My son is gone to a camp, and the upstairs neighbors are already on 4th of July vacation. I have the house to myself! Woohoo! I think I will clean it fully and then enjoy a bubble bath (leftover objective from last time I got a few minutes to myself). My only objective today is to finish up the tiny pile of files on my desk and make one dinner reservation for August. I think I can handle that. Happy Friday!

I am sorry for your loss Senior Gal. I don't think I remember hearing about it earlier. Everyone does seem to be busy. I am busy today. Company stayed last night till 10:30 so I did not get to watch Big Brother. I am going with Cheryl out to Terri's to help price things for her on going rummage sale. She must sell lots of her belongings and move into her daughter's smaller place. I am taking cherry pie which I have to bake yet, green beans, deviled eggs and some of our applesauce I canned and Hawaiian rolls. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

The spring on the garage door broke when DH tried to go to work this morning. So we ran all over trying to get someone to sell us a spring....they're dangerous to install and don't want the legal liability. Then he installed the right spring on the left side and visa versa. We watched a u-tube video to find that out. ;0)

By noon he was off to work. :0) I mowed the lawn, laundry, dusting, wiping down the stove, now making patio pillows for the chaise lounges.
