Oh goodie! I want to know how you like it! It would be very helpful in the RV and not heat it up plus we can also use it outside. The RV has an outdoor kitchen with burners but this would be better.
I have several Aroma brand products and never had a problem with any of them.

I have the Nuwave one, I like it but don't use it very often. I hope you bought some cookware for it or it won't work. Happy cooking! I also have the Nuwave mini oven, I like that a lot.

Don't know any advantages, but love the smell of bacon in the kitchen.

I bought the Nuwave cooktop at Bed Bath & Beyond, also bought a set of pots and pans there to use on it (it comes with a fry pan) I use it almost every day, even my husband likes to use it.

Please tell us how you like it. I have thought about getting one.

That would be so nice for those times when you just need one pot or kettle, especially with the speed. Please let us know how it works out.

I surely could use one in the rv..gets warm in there when you cook.

I used it today to make my porridge. The water boiled at under 2 minutes. The temperature immediately lowered when I reduced the temp and my porridge "plopped" and then quit and then plopped again. LOL. I guess the element goes on and off.

I've seen reviews where people complain about the noise of the fan, and some equate it to a microwave oven. Heavens, there is minimal noise!!! Yes a fan does run afterwards, but it's so quiet.

So after cooking my 1 "meal" I love it! Haha

My husband bought one and got one free. I think they are the NuWave ones. He gave them to two of our daughters. One has never used hers and the other did not think much of it. Maybe one of these days I will ask if I can have one to try out. They came with a lot of one set of pans and they divided the pans.

Another quick follow-up (don't worry, I'm not going to post every little thing that I use it for, but then again I might!)

I used my cast iron skillet to fry some onions for the burgers. I had the skillet on Level 3 (there are 6 levels). By the time I diced the onions, the skillet was hot, I put the oil in, and it was sizzling. The onions cooked in literally no time. Wow!

I originally bought the burner to save on hydro........instead of using a 220 coil burner, the wall outlet uses 110. Here's a question..... I use the induction burner on the stove sometimes to take advantage of the hood vent. The only outlet is on the stove......is that a 220 outlet or would it just draw the 110?

We're cooking the burgers outside, later on the balcony on the table set up out there. Keep the frying smells outside.

If the stove outlet has a socket that a 110 plug fits into, then it's 110 volts. 220 volt connections use different shapes to avoid confusion.

Power consumption is measured in Watts, which equals amps x volts. If you had two toasters, one that uses 110 and one that uses 220, for instance, the 110 one might be 10 amps (=1100 watts), the identical one using 220 would be 5 amps (also 1100 watts). The consumption when used would be the same.

Induction cooking uses less electricity than traditional electric cook tops because it takes less power for the "burner" to produce heat by using magnetism instead of resistance.

Thanks Snidely. Here in Ontario, our electricity bills are Hydro bills. Hydro One, Toronto Hydro etc.

I will chime in here about my induction burner. I recently got a Max Burton 6200 from Amazon for 74.99, and have been totally convinced this was made for me! It is a 1800 watt with 10 temp. adjust. I am getting ready to remodel my kitchen and have decided that this one will go in my RV and I will absolutely have a built in iduction burner. We have had many RV's and know how pathetic the stoves are. I am so happy with it that after using it for two days I had one shipped to my grandson who is stationed at Tinker AFB. He too loves it. Ruthie you don't have to "think" about it anymore just buy it, you will not be disappointed! I also bought the griddle they offer and it is awesome. I seriously RARELY use my gas range now.

I just finished cooking the burgers. We ate early because we're both working 6-midnite tonite.

I used my cast-iron skillet and it heated in no time. The burgers were cooked and dinner on the table in minutes.

I DID get an E6 error message when I was cooking the other 2 patties. That's an "over-heat" message. So I turned it off and it cooled down slightly. Cast-iron does retain heat as we all know, and I cooked the burgers on Level 3. So even Level 2 would work fine. Or the second batch could be cooked on a lower level.

I made rice on the weekend......the water came to a boil in 1-2 minutes. I put the rice in, brought it back to a boil and put it on the lowest setting. The rice cooked perfectly with no boil-overs, which is my tendency with my stove.

There is a cooling fan, and I've read some reviews where people say it is loud. I have sensitive hearing......I can't stand the tv on loud, etc. This thing has a fan that is very low, and runs for about a minute after it's turned off. It is not noisy or intrusive at all. If I could find a way to rip out the stove hood fan and throw it out, I would. I detest the noise of those things and seldom use it because of that.

We had a Diva de Provence 36" 5 burner cooktop installed into our new granite countertop when we renovated our kitchen in 2003. I am still just as thrilled with it now as when we first got it! It still looks brand new, although it is constantly in use, and has never had a single problem.

The only drawback I can possibly think of is that we had to teach our teenagers not to wonder away when they put a pot of water on to boil, because it would begin boiling so quickly! So if any of you are sitting on the fence about induction, I just thought I'd chime in as someone who has had one for over 10 years, with only rave reviews!
