RE: Jitterbug Cell Phone

I researched it for my mother, I was disappointed with the large number of negative comments I kept seeing about it. I chose not to use them.

RE: Jitterbug Cell Phone

I went to a comparison cell phone cite and discovered Jitterbug was very expensive and it had a lot of poor reviews.
So we went with a Verizon pre-paid plan.
Works well and the customer service is great.

My sister looked into it for our mom... ended up with a plain Verizon phone. She found nothing good about the Jitterbug.

I don't use it - I have Tracfone. You'll pay quite a premium to have that "5 Star" service. That's the only benefit, and I'm not sure how much of a benefit it really is. Con - it's very expensive. You have a $35 setup fee, $15 for 50 min ($.30/min) plus $40-$100 for a cheap phone. Plus they don't say who the carrier is and that's important to know on a prepaid.

My phone effectively costs me $5-$7/mo on the average..
