| My son and I went to Ireland and this is one of my favorite photos - it was taken at Molls Gap on the Ring of Kerry in Killarney. Part of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks mountains are in the background. |

| Did you get a new lens, Casey? Super insect shots! I've never seen a wild artichoke......only in California. :-) Maire, it's great to see you and your son--and Ireland! Beautiful daylily, Bigack....looks like Gillian, maybe? Lovely iris, Taigen. You should have more! :-) Me getting a "love bite" with needle teeth.

| Susan, wild artichokes are not native to Southern California. But the are so prolific and such a problem that there are programs to eradicate them in our wildlife areas. They tend to choke out native plant species. They are beautiful though. I had considered joining on the eradication days to help do my part since I enjoy the local trails and wanted to give back something ... until I read the details which said, "you will be furnished lunch, tools and rattlesnake chaps. You just bring water and sunscreen." Rattlesnake chaps!?! No thank you. LOL Jodi- |

| Anyone know what kind of beetle this is? Great pics everyone! Great macro Karen... Jodi...I was accidentally sent artichoke seeds instead of clown poppies. Artichokes don't have a long enough growing season to bloom here in CO. Were safe! :0) Rattlesnake chaps!!! that's funny.....lol
