I watched the show tonight and was very disappointed on this show. She only went back on one person, and only in GA where she was from. But then due to her age and possible health was unable to travel, and I think it was made before her marriage. It was interesting, but I like it better when the person travels all over the world.

Is Paula Deen in bad health? I don't get to watch very much tv and I tried to get in the house last night in time to watch that, but only got to see the part where she drove to the site of the old home place. Looked like she was wearing a lot more make up than usual....she looked kind of bad...is she sick?

Not sure about her health, there has been a slight controversy over her diabeties. I think she has lost some weight, and sometimes when a person does that, they have to do some cosmetic changes--hair style, etc. Also not sure of her age.

if you mean the search for her relatives on the who are you show, they generally always only search one family line it is all they really have time for and if her family was all in that area that may be all she wished to do. And it showed her and her husband a few times in the show so yes she was married this was filmed not long ago. She has been losing weight since her diabetes diagnosis. I thought it was great that she went back to the old homestead, I would not be surprised if she buys that land, it was a very pretty area. Where she met up with her boys at the end was just beautiful with the waves lapping up and the moss dripping from the big oak trees. My kinda place.

I thought it was a very heartfelt episode. (She certainly showed more emotion than Helen Hunt) While "Finding Your Roots" seems to always touch on slavery, Paula's WDYTYA story showed that boys that fought for the South were human, with mothers and fathers that loved them. To me being able to hold a handwritten letter from a distant relative is priceless. I have not always been a Paula Dean fan but last night showed a class act Southern lady.

I still watch her reruns on Food Network, Paula's Kitchen, think that's it, when she and her sons's interact. I just feel the love between she and her sons. Hope it's the same when they are off

I thought she looked great all night in all her wardrobe changes, but the last scene at the old plantation was her least attractive ensemble, IMHO. I notice she has what I have heard called Botox eyebrows. I am not surprised that she uses Botox as she probably needs to since she is in the entertainment business. I thought her episode was done very well, and she wasn't always repeating the same old exclamations over and over that I have seen various actors do on this show. She is a strikingly beautiful woman, white hair and all. She clearly used special make up for the show, and she looked wonderful.
