If you go to weatherchannel.com and type in your zipcode, you can see what time Moonrise is. I looked yesterday, 8:59 I'll be outside looking, although we're expecting partly cloudy skies tonight, darn it. Super Moons are very cool!

It won't be till later though that it reaches the closest point, according to the article on weatherchannel "At 11:34 p.m., the moon will be about 221,802 miles from Earth. That's about 15,300 miles closer than average." |

Here I thought that you were referring to a fairly weighty person shifting some of his clothing ...to lay bare some of himself. o j

We have clouds all weekend, so miss it completely. Wish I could have seen it.

After all the beautiful weather we've had this spring, of course there are dense clouds tonight. I'll be looking up anyway.

DS just saw it from his house. I'm waiting for it to come out from behind my neighbors tree.

Too much foilage to see it right now. Can only see it shining. Maybe later before I head to bed.

I saw it, but will be better able to see it closer to 11:30 PM when it will be higher in the sky.

My neighbors prolly think I am nuts now. LOL, just came back in from howling at the moon. I had to walk across the street, to get a good look at it. To many trees between me and the moon in the back yard. Sure is big, round, and bright. Well, I know, it isn't 10:30 yet, but I am tired and turning in. Good night all Moni

It is full tonight and brighter but I can't really say it is bigger. Looks great though.

Here, in central FL it looked bigger at moonrise than at 11:34 pm when the local newses were telling us to look.

I can't believe I missed it. :( I heard about it on the news this morning.

I was expecting it to be really big, like a Harvest Moon only bigger. It was awfully bright and pretty though.

It would look bigger at moonrise than higher in the sky - it appears the largest closest to the horizon.
