Traveling is so much nicer in our RV..... The pups are loving it too.....We are in Missouri at Redman Creek... It is beautiful here.... The kids came down from Iowa and we had a ton of fun.... Larry is so glad we got the Big Horn..... with lots of sleeping space for everyone,,

No hurry to get home!!

Ooops...the festival runs from October 18-21. And yes, this tri-county area is known as the Butterfly Capital of the USA as well as the Birding Capital too. Many of the lepidopterists started off as birders and saw all the species possible so they started on butterflies and dragonflies :o) ~ Cat

Hi Boro! I returned Sunday from visiting my daughter and grandson in Indiana..grandson is 7 months old! I had not seen him since he was born in November. Anyhoo he is adorable..sad..I had to hire my kid a divorce lawyer..her husband has been cheating on her. She caught him the first time when the baby was 3 weeks old! What is bizarre is that they planned the baby. I don't get it. She tried to get him in counseling..he went twice but he lies and refused to admit it. He is still lying and he has been seen with her. Small town...We got the best attorney in town!

Rosewitch, England was definitely one of my favorite places I have ever visited. My folks took me there when I was 14, and I remember bits and pieces the Crown jewels, walking amongst the Stonehenge stones (roped off now, vandalism), Stratford upon Avon. Time for me to take my own 14YO. Im trying to think how I can get over there for a whole summer, LOL. Dlynn, I could have worked so much more. I didnt really look at night time stuff and there was loads to do. Greece: cant help you, but shoot Yasou a line, she went a few years ago. LOL Annie! Teresa, well go together. I wanted to explore more cooking and food shops/stores but didnt get to. Terri, here is more a link to Pictures of England, a website pointed out to me by Denise. I started it on Bourton on the Water, where we stayed for a few days. Thanks Sharon, I was actually thinking how can I even come close to posting her quality of travel guides, I dont do the pictures she does LOL. We might have sat at the same table in the Cheshire Cheeses dining room! Sawdust still there, but we didnt make it to the cellar. I missed a lot of the British Museum. It has changed.check out the new atrium. I couldnt keep up with DH and DS16. Afternoons, when I planned museums, I crashed. Next time! Pam, lots of people did more than we did per day! Theater every night, more attractions, I cant imagine. Gina heh heh yeah I need another vacation like a hole in my head. Speaking of whichDH has another week off in August. Nooooooooo! Kathleen, DH says he took an average of 200 pictures a day. Yup. Me, I just buy the post cards or Google the images, same thing (DARFC from the photo bugs here) Cathy, thanks for giving me the War and Peace moniker heh heh. Next time I go with CF friends! LindaC, I know. Im still exhausted. Speaking of the V&A, did you know there was a Dale Chihuly chandelier in the entrance room?

Tina, thanks for the morning smile! Retirement may not come that quickly, but there's a slight possibility. We're both totally happy living in Louisiana until mid-summer hits. There's nothing worse than the constant heat and humidity. I know a lot of areas across the country get it for a few weeks every year, but months on end are so draining. So we start talking about leaving the area. We both come from northern states, but neither of us is willing to deal with long winters again. Looking for a compromise. Convenience is necessary. We're city people. Would like a city smaller than BR, but not too small. Out of curiosity I looked at a few "active adult" communities online. I found prices much higher in NC. Then I expanded the search to eastern Tennessee. Much more reasonable. Would love to get more feedback. Yours was a great start!

South central Missouri has several old water mills from primitive to well organized. These are worth seeing. As the years go by, these artifacts of early Americana are dissappearing. Several are located on big 'springs'. MIssourians call those featrues springs, but to my eye, I see these as places where underground rivers erupt from subterrainian channels.

Glad you are enjoying yoursel...that's what RVing is all about. We just did 48032 miles on the miles calculator this morning. We are on our way to Dayton, OH this morning where our trip will be officially complete and we start the journey home. Lots to see and do before we get home but it will all be done on a southerly route as we head home. We will hit Missouri before we get home.

Wow Ruthie.... How long since you been home ??? Lots of beautiful miles of our lovely nation to see.....We are just getting the hang of RVing... been at this place for 2 weeks and we leave on Monday.... Still lots to see.... but alas... not enough time..

We will head out again in June and return home in July.... We love having the pups with us...and that is why we chose the Bighorn..

Our whole life is a honeymoon...LOL

I couldn't agree more, I love it when we get the rv loaded and head out for the next adventure. Will be on the beach in Galveston in June and I just can't wait. Our little dog absolutely loves to travel in the "car house". That's what the little grandkids call the rv.

Geeze I didn't realize you were honeymooning..Congrats. We are going to stay another day here in Dayton OH before we start our homeward trip. The KOA where we are has two small private lakes that the stock and that happened a few days ago so we are going to take another day to fish.

Again congrats on getting married...I hadn't heard the news.

DH and I just rented a 36 footer and traveled down to Springfield Ill to see all of the Lincoln sites down there. The weather was absolutely horrendous, with rain and cold but we didn't care. We loved having our house on wheels, with heat and hot water. We also took the pups with us, so that was really nice. We loved it so much we plan on buying an RV when we get closer to retirement--hoping to work for another 5 years or so.
