Sunny, but cool here today. We had flank steak, eggplant, mashed potato and salad. My sister wanted the flank steak (it is a favorite in our family) so she bought it and hubby cooked it. But guess how much it cost...$8.99 a pound! I wish now I had questioned it when I picked it up.

Went to Wine and Cheese tonight. Dinner was a miss-mosh of assorted Hors de Oeuvre's. I brought deviled eggs topped with real bacon bits and sausage cheese balls.

I'm having Panda Express veggie spring rolls even as I type... With my first ever cream cheese wontons and a huge icy glass of lemonade.

Yummy! I haven't had roast or porcupine meatballs in forever! Pam, sounds like a good meal, even if pricier than expected. I love a snack night dinner, and with friends...how fun! Debby, that sounds like exactly what I would order. I'll have to remember for next time. I've only been to Panda once.

I think we'll just have a plate of nachos to use up some meat, cheese and corn chips. A left overs/clean out the fridge and pantry night.

We are having bbq ribs and roasted corn on the cob.

Cold pasta salad. We ate too much earlier. :0)

I tried a couple of new recipes today. Pork tenderloin with a chipotle and ketchup glaze.

Served it with a "slaw" of thinly sliced pineapple, red pepper and jicama. It was our first experience with jicama. Mr. Jasdip raved about the salad. The meat was delicious as well :)

Rhubarb crisp and ice cream for dessert.

I love to use jicama, it's so crunchy and takes on the flavor of whatever you put it in.

We put everything on the grill tonight....marinated chicken and veggies, all on skewers and served over brown and wild rice.

We ate out on the patio and listened to the birds squabble and swap lies as they settled down for the night.

they had these ribs (pre-cooked in a good sauce) on sale at Costco, so had them for dinner...really good but barely enough for dinner and leftover lunch...if they ever have them on sale again will try...
