Oh, and a bit of trivia - the original Casino Royal was not part of the official Bond studio franchise and the movie was made by another studio, which is why it is a considered a spoof rather than part of the Bond lexicon. My husband is very happy that they are finally doing a proper version of the film as he says the book is rather good. Um, just in case anyone else is thinking of renting Old Boy, I have to warn you that it is a very disturbing movie. I think Diane can handle it since you've seen Lady Vengence but I really can't recommend it to anyone. But if you do like the kind of movie then I'll recommend a film called "Three...Extremes" which is three short films by the best directors of the Asia Extreme movement. The Miike short is beautiful and not nearly as nasty as most of his full length films.

I assume you are using Windows XP? It will not burn directy from WMM to a DVD - but there is a way! I do it all the time. You will need some type of burning software, which, if you have a DVD burner, you probably already have. I use Roxio, but Nero is also a popular brand. I have also used Sonic with great sucess. Probably some free ones that could be downloaded if you don't have any of those. Here are the steps to be able to burn your slide show or video compilation to DVD. Under step 3. Finish Movie select SAVE TO MY COMPUTER. It will take you to the Save Movie Wizard 1.Saved Movie File Name your movie as desired - I rename it so I can tell it is not the original WMM file. I save it to My Videos - I think this is the default. You will need to locate it later when you want to burn it. 2 Movie Setting choose the 3rd option other settings ...on the drop down of that option choose High Quality NTSC It will then save it to your hard drive, in the My Videos file. It takes a little while, depending on the size of your project. You will also need some free space on your hard drive. I have attached a link to Windows Movie Maker forums - you can learn a lot reading over there! That is where I learned how to use WMM. Open up your burning software to create a DVD (not a data DVD, but a DVD project) - import the correct file from My Videos and burn away! He who holds the remote is just now discovering the options we have. LOL We have the same model Sony BluRay at home and and on Maui. We have never investigated the various options until we tried the Netflix option yesterday. (Bomb.) We haven't cared because our library at home usually has whatever we are looking for (free) as soon as it's available anywhere. That's not the case here on Maui, and we are staying longer on Maui now. Here we can rent "Shane", "I Was A Male War Bride", etc. We got "Black Swan" from our branch of the Maui library -- one of the few 'recent' movies. We are also able to use our cable HD-DVR and watch recorded PBS programs at teatime. Our BluRay boxes date from about 2012. This one talks about "2010" options, but I assume that since they still show up on the menu, they are all still currently available. The Sony channel is offering "Truth" -- current movie we just rented from Redbox for $1.50/day. Looked like it was $6 to stream. Please walk me through the Amazon Prime membership as regards streaming movies. I see Amazon has at least one TV series we have been waiting to see: Season Three of "The Americans". It looks like it is $6 per episode. (Our library at home has this now, but we're not there, we're here!) We usually split a movie over two days of teatime. If we chose "The Americans" Episode One of Season Three, and had an Amazon Prime membership, how long would we have access to that episode? Could we *stop* and *resume*? (With Redbox, we just pay for two days, as time stops at midnight of the day you rent.) What's the cost to have Prime? (I very seldom buy anything online, so never looked into this -- certainly not for Hawaii, where shipping is a week, not days.) Thanks for helping guide two Seniors into the 21st Century.

sushipup, I'm sure you know that there's a Free To Me link on Prime Video that provides many choices. Very recent and popular movies aren't free and shouldn't be expected to be so but on Amazon Prime and other sources, many are often available for less than the cost of a box of popcorn in a theater. Cheap. Being asked to pay a few supplementary bucks for a movie shouldn't offend anyone. For me, since replacing a monthly DISH bill that was >$100 with YouTube TV at $65 (that under its terms I can use for service at my two different homes, even at the same time) and making more use of services like Amazon Prime and Netflix that I had anyway and was underutilizing, I think the value for money and enjoyment of the small bits of TV we do watch have increased significantly.
