A big fat cheeseburger!

I had a long fun filled day with some of my girls. Supper was late for me, a garlic bologna sandwich and leftover mac and cheese. Now some Jello Cake. Beautiful day here in central Indiana today.

We are having leftovers. The choices are red beans & rice or chili.

Basil Totellini Salad. Some would serve as a side dish, but we had it for dinner.

Baked salmon and grilled asparagus.

Marigene: I got a big chuckle out of "a big fat cheeseburger."

Sue: I'd never be able to keep up with you and your girls. Good choices for your light supper.

Orchid: Can I have small/half portions of each?

Ellendi: What all goes into that salad? If it has enough protein, it could be a meal for me too.

I made a big, crunchy salad while Robert grilled a piece of sirloin for us to slice up to put on top. The meat was surpisingly tender and tasted great with blue cheese vinaigrette.

I found 8 more morel mushrooms in our yard. Some of them are huge, about 6 inches tall. I used 4 of the smaller ones to make a penne pasta with shrimp asparagus and morel mushroom in a white wine cream sauce. I had always heard of morel mushrooms but never had one until finding two in our front garden a couple of weeks ago, now they are my new favorite thing.

Gadgets, I use cheese ravioli but you could use one with chicken.

I should have gone to kittiemom's house! I didn't have any dinner. Hubby finished up that disgusting Asian Beef dish.

Angelaid....I'm curious, what was it about the dish that you didn't like? I mean, what would you change if you made it again?

It was very bland. It was way to much liquid for a crockpot recipe, it looked more like soup than a beef/vegetable dish. 5 hours was way too long in the crockpot. Vegetables pretty much disintegrated to the point of being unrecognizable. You didn't get any of the mandarin orange flavor at all.
