I used to at least be able to find traditional pajamas around Christmas, but no longer. I found some in winter and summer styles at Macy's online a year ago, but they are cheaply made. If I can find some good ones, these will go into the trash.

Can you help us, KT members?

Lands End has one pair, the top and bottoms are $25 each. Free returns at Sears. I agree with $100 being too much.

I'll check JCPenney. I suspect the Nordstrom ones are the same awful quality I bought from Macy's (under a 'Club Room' brand -- made in...China). Comments say Nordstrom no longer sells its' own brand and the ones it is selling now (from 'Majestic') are junk.

I'll look again at Vermont Country Store, but have never found anything reasonably priced at that site.

I need pjs with a collar, buttons up the front of the shirt, 100% cotton and snap or button closure for the waist. Hard to find, but maybe with a phone call I can find out about ALL the details. So far, only JC Penney's (which does not give enough details so I have to call to verify), Land's End and LL Bean look worth a telephone call to verify all the requirements.

I make my husband's pj's. I usually make the slip over the head kind as that is the style he likes.

Lazy Sue, waiting for someone else to find almost exactly what I'm looking for -- button front, elastic waist w/snaps, but 60% cotton and 40% polyester. Not $100/pair!

Marilyn Sue -- See, should you ever need something to fill your time -- ha-ha! -- you can make men's pajamas to order. There is clearly a market among the older men who don't want to adapt to 'lounge pants and an undershirt'.

Just bought two pair of poly cotton collared, buttoned front long sleeved tops and elastic waist bottoms in Steinmart - $22, which I thought was an excellent price.

$100 is too much. I'll sleep in my underwear or regular shirt and light trousers before I pay that much. Actually, exercise sweats or lounging clothing will do.

The pajamas in Steinmart were Izod brand. Made in China, but the fabrics had a really nice feel and I just pulled them out of the dryer almost wrinkle free. There were 3 or 4 different plaids to choose from. The waistband was elastic with 2 buttons for adjustment.

They also had short sleeve, short pants in solids, but my husband would never wear those.
