What's for dinner Saturday?

We're having shrimp salad stuffed tomatoes tonight. For "dessert" I made a loaf of Glenda's banana bread and I have the cream cheese warming :-)

I'm pretty sure that we're having shrimp and scallop k-bobs, with some roasted asparagus, cole slaw, and crispy baked potato wedges. It will be our 10th anniversary dinner!

Both your dinners sound wonderful to me! Steak and potatoes on the grill and salad for us.

Nikki's down by The Farmers Market.

My usual: smoked sausage and sauerkraut with their 7 layer salad.

I lucked out, as it's a holiday weekend, and I didn't have to go up and down the isle lines to get to the food service. Most unusual. Restaurant reminds you of the lines to the attractions at Disney on normal business days.

Stay cool, ya'll! It's HOT HOT HOT! 107 on my back deck with the afternoon sun.

Wow, that's hot, Glenda.

I made chicken/noodle alfredo, and had a small bowl of lima (butter) beans for my evening meal. I wouldn't mind having some of the shrimp though.

Shirley

Happy anniversary, rhizo

Happy 10th Rhizo!!!
Hubby grilled sausages on the neighbour's barbie. I sauteed the cabbage lurking at the back of the frig, onions and carrots. We picked up a potato salad with egg on sale and ate that. Stewing more rhubarb now. We need a rain desperately. The lawns are turning brown and the veggie plants planted last weekend are needing watered daily. Once again, highly unusual for May. Frost is usually the biggest fear. There's a ban on open fires now, too. There's currently a large fire in Northern Ontario.

Happy Anniversary, Rhizo. Your dinner sounds great and I predict a wonderful evening in your future :-)

Pam, I would be soooo happy with your dinner. Our grill is out of gas and it's too hot for Harry to be wrangling with that heavy tank.

Glenda, that is way too hot to be out and about. I've never tried it, but I may try to make a small 7-layer salad tomorrow. I just love that stuff!

Shirley, I'll trade you shrimp for lima beans!!

Patti, you've got a deal on the trade.

I've never tried a 7 layer salad.

I did the cooking for the weekend Sat. I made a chunky potato soup, topped with cheese, croutons and bacon bits I fried myself. Then had a left over stewed chicken from Fri. For dinner I made chicken sour cream enchiladas! :0)

I need to make a snack.....dunno what...?
