My middle son and wife + two grandchildren (ages 1 and 3) drove down from Virginia to spend this week with me. We have been busy visiting attractions in our tourist town. Tomorrow, we are going on a Dolphin cruise. Sunday we will go to church, then Gulf World, an aquatic park.

It's just the two of us so not really. Just going out to dinner probably. I am mommy to my little dog but I doubt she will be getting me anything other than kisses. lol.
He does always buy me flowers so I am sure that will be my gift, along with not having to cook.

Well Sam coming home is my big Mother's Day gift! I am sure the kids will get me presents and maybe Tony will get me something for being the mother of his children. I am sure I won't have to cook and I can just laze around the house.

I am babysitting my granddaughters and spending the night so my daughter is fixing brunch in the morning. In the afternoon I'll head to Virginia for an early dinner with my middle daughter and her family. Satine

I am working all weekend. Getting flowers ready for Mothers day. It was a zoo today. I work 1-5 on Sunday, doing the clean up.

It is just 2 of us here, my DD sent me my present. I love it. I beautiful necklace. If I get a text from son, I will be happy. That is the best I can hope for.

DH is cooking dinner for me since I work till 5. That is it for around here.

I'll be with my daughter and son-in-law at my granddaughter's college graduation. This is Lizzie, who lost a semester due to injuries suffered in that awful car accident. I'm so proud of her! Long ceremonies and long speeches aren't my thing, but I'm looking forward to this event.

Afterward, my son and daughter-in-law are joining us for ice cream cake at home.

My brother's family are hosting a casual back yard BBQ. I will bring the dessert. Usually my older son comes down and cooks us a delicious dinner, but this year he and his wife decided to fly to NYC to be with our younger son to share their birthday celebrations on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our youngest was born on Mother's Day, and my brother has the same birthday date too. We are used to doing birthdays along with Mother's Day.

Saturday brunch with SIL and new DIL and Sunday lunch with my daughters and dinner out with my husband. YAY!!!!!!

Looking forward to spending time with my sons!

DS has been here for several days with a friend. Today he's going to detail my car which takes several hours and will be beautiful when he's done. He'll be heading home tomorrow and I'm going to rest! The others will all call. Years ago I asked them to please not send flowers. They've become so expensive and most of the the cost goes into the sending! There were times when the arrangements looked like flowers that came from the grocery store. I'd rather just a phone call, and that's what I get.

I'm making Sunday dinner. My 2 daughters will visit with their boyfriends. I hope they bring gifts! Then again, this morning I went out grocery shopping, I thought to myself. It's Mother's Day. Why do I have to make a party for the children?

We are all going to my son's tomorrow, along with his girlfriends family to celebrate his girlfriends first mothers day with our grandson. I'm bringing eggs and pancakes and her mom is bringing ham, bacon and fried potatoes. We're having a huge brunch.

Mothers Day isn't a huge deal to me, but it's my daughter in laws first, so she wants us all together to celebrate.

I invited Alex to come home tomorrow and help Lauren make me dinner. ( : I doubt he even realized it's Mother's day. lol So, I'm going to go through a new cookbook I found at Big Lots for $3 the other day and find something that looks good. I'm tired of eating the same old things over and over and this book looked like it had a lot of interesting recipes and they're supposedly quick ones to make.

Son is going to church with me, and I'll have dinner for us at my place.

I will probably call my mother. I already sent her a gift and a card.

Tomorrow my oldest son is taking me to visit my youngest son and his wife. They live 200 miles away and just bought their first house. The older son is giving the younger one a lawn mower and we are taking it with us.
I am excited to be going to visit them. I wouldn't want to drive that far by myself.

Jannie, good question. How about if you just don't start a meal? As it's getting closer to dinner time, if they ask, just say "Oh, I didn't realize that I'm supposed to host Mother's Day".

Mother's day will be Monday for me this time. DD's son and his DW are taking my DD to an annual Antique Show, which happens to fall on Mother's Day this year.

DD has already given me a gift, a hanging basket of Devil Wing Begonia (red) which has gotten to be tradition now. On Monday she is taking me shopping for plants for my yard and a 3 tier plant rack on my front porch. We may or may not have lunch. We both would rather shop for plants than eat. :~)

I agree Jannie! Did that last year, so, early in the morning will be on our way to Belize! Will spend my afternoon on the beach with a tropical cocktail.

My 2 very DDs treated me to lunch today and we came back home and chatted for 4 hours! It was a great day!

Dinner at an Italian restaurant in the East Village, NYC with DH and both daughters.

Driving to Long Island,NY to son and daughter in law house .

Our plans were canceled a few hours ago due to wind. So, now we'll have a relaxing day at home instead.
