I've been wondering about her and her relative Kelly that I believe is facing the same/similar battle. So glad to hear she's doing as well as she is. You have every right to be proud of her. I'm glad her husband is so supportive.

Thanks everyone. Kelly is doing well, too. The 2 ladies are a terrific support system!! Our son always tries to have her cemo day free and takes them lunch during their treatments. One day they both got beautiful flowers from Kelly's brother and lunch from Stacey's!! What a wonderful bunch!! Again, thanks so much for keeping all of us in you prayers!!

Sending good thoughts and hopes especially for them, but for all of you, Susie ... and hoping that the result can be as good as possible, with as few bumps as possible along the way.

So sorry she is going through this but I am glad she is handling it so well. My friend's daughter is battling breast cancer and I cannot believe how well she is managing, with a job and two little kids. She has had a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. I think she is getting nipple tattoos!

I hope your daughter and Kelly have continued good luck and a full and speedy recovery.

So glad she is doing so good. The hair grows back so fast. I didn't even buy a wig. I hate them and just didn't want to wear one. As soon as my bald head had an inch of hair, I quit wearing caps...loved the reaction I got with little hair.

Sounds as good as it can, Susie. It's wonderful that you can be there for her to help. She's so smart: the hair is not important. She'll look cute when it grows back like a little pixie cut. You must be beyond happy that things are going well. Good good good!

It's nice to hear she's progressing through the treatments very well--how 'lucky' that she has a chemo-buddy to do it with her. I agree with socks that it's great your daughter sees past the temporariness of losing her hair! I'll keep both gals in my prayers.

take a look in wal mart for scarves that cover your head, and come in some cute patterns (I had one for Halloween, and Christmas, lol) they're usually in the section where the purses are....

it's so hard on moms to have chemo, with kids...I can still remember one younger mom crying when the cancer nurse told us no kisses/hugs from children...is she going to have reconstructive surgery after or during?

I'll join in praying for your daughter and Kelly also. You take good care of yourself too, this is a lot of stress for you too.
