Spider Solitare

When I went windows 8 I lost my friend "spider Solitare".I; I am now playing one from aarp and It's too small and I'm not happy with it.I have down loaded some and they have jamed my mcchine.Is there a safe one out there someone has tried and I can download without too much trouble?

I have a link that I've used for years and no problem. I don't play spider solitaire, but golf solitaire.

When you open the link you'll see spider solitairs.

Again, no problem for me. My server is AOL.

Windows 8 doesn't come with them preloaded but you can get the same package of games that was on the previous versions of Windows. Below is a link telling about this and where they are in the windows game store for free.

I have two pine benches that I have now told DH might be good January projects for him....he is not really annoyed, I think he is rather pleased. My walls are pale green Woody. They are nice but after 6 years I am getting a little edgy about the colour. But painting something this large (living/dining area, hallway, laundry room) is kind of a gumption trap. I do have a bathroom to do... Norma I don't play solitaire on line, it was already on my laptop. If you have an Options thing you can change it there. You can go up to four different suits I think. I am scoring at 11% with the two..... The cats are cute - that photo in the dryer is so funny! Kathy, DD wants to paint her whole house; She is going to paint one dining room wall a kind of red. She will start with some kind of pumpkin colour I think, then fade it out as she progresses through the house. DS is giving her an Orange card for Christmas, and we just bought about $100 worth of stuff so she can get started. She is getting a painted house for Christmas!! Norma did you post a photo of Joey? or did I see that on FB? TCS's school concert was tonight and it was terrific. I don't know when I have enjoyed a kids concert as much. He attends a Catholic school so the theme was the "true meaning of Christmas" but it was a light and funny program. Each class did a musical interlude during the play, and the teachers wrote the play and the music. Terrific. Cheers, Julie

Zone 6b palms?

Needle palms are probably the only palms that will grow in a zone 6b in Oregon, Sabal minors require a lot of summer heat to grow well (native to the southeast USA). They can handle pretty cold temperatures, probably around 0F when established if the duration is breif, but they wont put out more than a frond or 2 a year in climates that dont get hot (even in climates that are hot, they are slow growers that put out only about 3-4 fronds a year). Trachys are a great choice since they are easy to protect. They are reliably cold hardy to about 7F, lets say 10F to play it safe. They are the most common cold hardy palm grown in my area since they grow trunks so they give the tropical look a bit easier. As for potted palms, there are plenty of good ones. My personal favorite are Spindle palms. They are really tough. I grow at least 15 different species of palms as potted plants currently and this one is the easiest of them that tolerates sun during the summer months. Chamaedoreas are very easy and do great in shade, but will not tolerate sun. Chamaedorea seifrizii is one of my favorites of that species. Solitare palms are really easy indoor palms as well. They dont really grow that well in sun outdoors so partial shade is best. They grow just as well indoors as they do outdoors for me, making a new frond every 6 weeks or so. You can also try yuccas and tropical bulbs (like elephant ears, cannas, etc...) for a tropical look in your zone. They look good with perrenials that are already common in your area so you dont have to worry about it not looking right. Good luck! -Alex

Gotta be super careful downloading those card games cause they'll load you up with unwanted stuff - toolbars etc. Just downloading may result in babylon and funmode being installed. Before you even start the game installation. !!!!! I hated the W7 games so transferred the XP games to W7 this way which should work for 7 to 8: find a friend with XP or 7 if you don't have one yersef. Contol panel > folder options > check 'show hidden folders' navigate to C:\Windows\System32 Copy the following files to a USB memory stick, or CD (whatever means you have to move files): cards.dll freecell.exe mshearts.exe sol.exe spider.chm spider.exe spider.hlp winmine.exe Create a Desktop Folder and paste all that into that folder (do not put it in the Windows\system32 folder) Launch the games from there or make a desktop shortcut. Uncheck 'show hidden folders'

I play scrabble on there, non paying. My pogo name is: tastyemilydog682 In case you think I'm a weirdo for having that name, I tried for over 15 minutes to come up with a normal name without luck...they were all in use by someone else. So, then started using my dog's name, Emily...and this popped up and I thought it was kinda funny and was really tired of trying to come up with something so picked it.

you can do this from windows 8 tiles, but I will just give the link right to the windows game store for you. pick what you want, spider solitaire is there as you can see along with many others. This is a safe location from Microsoft.

be extremely careful getting free games from online sites that is one of the top methods of infection. Be sure to have Wot installed on your browser before searching random sites so you can see if they are rated safe or not. Wot comes for all browsers pick the right one to install.

I'm not having much success.Norton says they are rejects.They jam.Still trying different games.Hope to hit on the right one before I crash.I am a stroke person and this game keeps me to gather.

Some things is wrong if you are not able to get the games directly from the Microsoft game store, it should be a simple click on the selected game and install, now you will get a pop up warning that is part of the uac but it should just be you authorized it to be installed on your pc. There's no reason why any antivirus programs would balk at the Microsoft games they are made for windows. I think you have

some thing seriously wrong with the Norton. It is definitely not a favorite of mine once I got rid of it years ago I won't ever use it again, to each their own.
I really don't understand the problem with the one Glenda gave, you just play it online it isn't even a download.

I guarantee you this site is safe, my husband has been playing on it for years every single day and I have played on it often and you know I would never be going to any site that is dangerous in any way and it has a great wot rating. If anything says this one is bad then you have a problem on your computer that is affecting what is going on with the AV. Have you run an updated malwarebytes scan if not I would sure do that.

What kind of success rate do you have while playing, Goldy (and others)?

I think that I run about 12% ... about 2% on Minesweeper ... and nearly 95% on Freecell.
