It has been overcast all day here and windy. So muddy out. Went to Terri's and I got to hold and feed the baby, he is really big. Have not been home long. My supper is just a smoked sausage sandwich, macaroni salad and some peach pie.

Cold, wet day today. Did some grocery shopping today and delivered some worms to someone who was looking to start vermicomposting again. I tooked converted rice out of the freezer and heated it up with some celery, carrot, onion, and black beans. Had a slice of ham fried with it. Have to take something sweet out of the freezer to have with my tea.

Roasting a whole chicken in a roasting pan, rubbed with olive oil and poultry seasoning with celery, onion, potatoes, par boiled golden beets, carrots tossed in oil and seasoned with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning too. Done in 80 minutes in a 400 degree oven. So juicy!

Weight Watcher recipe for veggie soup. Cold and rainy so a perfect day for it.
I'm going to pop in some crescent rolls to go along with it.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and almond cakelets for dessert.

Ellendi: What version of WW soup do you make? I haven't fixed that in years. Sounds excellent coupled with the rolls.

Yum, everything sounds so good!

I'll be making buckwheat buttermilk pancakes for our breakfast for dinner tonight. Someone sent us some smoked maple sausage (Dakin) that is to die for; we've been portioning it out veerrrrry slowly, lol.

Blueberries for the cakes, and a mixed fresh fruit side with a little sauce made of yogurt, honey, dash of lemon juice and zest.

This will be our 'breakfast for breakfast ' tomorrow!

A pretty day here today. I think it hit 70. Should have been playing golf but ran errands instead. I made roasted cauliflower, mushroom and red pepper pasta carbonara for dinner. It was pretty good. Not anything DH would like but he'll have a salad and shrimp.

Gadgets, the WW recipe is with cabbage, carrots, onion, green beans and garlic in a chicken broth. Tomato paste, basil, oregano and salt for seasoning. The original recipe calls for zucchini but I forgot to put it in. DH isn't a fan if it so I always leave it out.
Quick and easy.
Glenda, your bologna reminded me about how much I used to like fried salami and eggs!

Pampered myself after minor surgery (topical anesthesia), went out for prime rib and Israeli couscous. Typically not something I would buy. Wish I could make couscous like the restaurant!

Rob333, how was the prime rib? We had a resent thread about not getting good quality meat. I started noticing it myself while dining out.
It seems in the quest for leaner cuts. the meat is tougher.

Pretty good. J Alexander though. Since it is so expensive, I will only get it there. Dependably good! Tried to take someone there and she missed out. But she probably would've liked their food.

We had steamed Brussels sprouts and hamburger patties with pimento cheese.

Grilled meats.. And fries..

Hot dogs, chicken breast( no one wanted it tonight), burgers.
Kamren had chicken ceasar salad (couple nights ago chicken) it's one of his favorite things to eat.
I had a hot dog and then a small burger on romaine with orange bell pepper and sesame dressing.

Buffalo wings and sweet potato fries.

Chicken Marsala and a wonderful tossed salad.

Sidnee, I haven't made Chicken Marsala yet. Do you use sweet or dry marsala? I have to know what I'm looking for in the liquor store.
